  1. Got it put together yet? How do you like it?
  2. On deck is Tannerite.
  3. Once it starts, it'll be near impossible to put that genie back in the bottle.
  4. When is the media going to start taking some responsibility for stoking and promoting these lunatics? Glorifying these cowards may sell ad space, but it does our country a great injustice. I do not blame the media alone, but they do hold a percentage of blame each time these things happen in my opinion. I'll not hold my breath.
  5. Have the race wars the media have been stoking actually begun?
  6. In before the lock!
  7. I have an attachment for my leaf blower that'll blow out gutters. It works pretty good if the gutters are dry. It'll give you freckles otherwise. I usually just drag out the ladder.
  8. I went with my son today pawn shop hopping, looking for him an acoustic guitar. We went in the Outpost Pawn Shop in Hendersonville, and he bought a really nice Yamaha from the very nice gentleman who ran the store for what I feel is a great price. I got home and googled the guitar to learn a bit about it, and you'll never believe what I found. It isn't a guitar LIKE this one. It IS this one! The sad part is he has no idea who Jimmy Fortune is. Great playing and sounding guitar anyway. Tennessee is a pretty cool place.
  9. That's a friggin pre 64! It has been dinked with and refinished, but still......wow! I can't wait to hear how it shoots. I've yet to have a model 70 that wasn't scary accurate. You paid for half the floorplate. https://www.customshopinc.com/product/winchester-model-70-pre-64-super-grade-floor-plate-like-new/
  10. You stole that! How ‘bout some pictures?
  11. I like to think there will be a special place in heaven reserved for parents and kids like this. On the other hand, I have no pity nor tolerance for parents of children who've simply not been taught discipline. It usually isn't hard to tell the difference.
  12. Well don’t leave us hanging. What have you learned about it?
  13. Also buy the 209 primer breechplug, and it looks like a winner to me!
  14. I believe the old caps are a major source of corrosion in addition to black powder. Pyrodex will rust em as well. My point is to advise anyone new to muzzleloaders that they require meticulous cleaning, oiling, and periodic checking for corrosion.
  15. ...and the impending rust.
  16. https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/cva-wolf-50-break-action-muzzleloader-rifle Looks like they've doubled in price since I bought mine, but for the money, these things are sure hard to beat.
  17. Red, I can't help but notice that several of those have the hammer on the correct side. Particularly, that ratty old flintlock.
  18. I see I'm late, but just remembered this. Andro Corp Industries https://androcorpind.com/ In my opinion, these guys sell some quality stuff for the price!
  19. Me too. I have a Thompson Renegade, but it sets in the safe while the CVA Wolf goes hunting.
  20. There is a definite cool factor factor with the traditional side hammer rifles, black powder, caps, and patched round ball. There is a lot of convenience and practicality with the single shot type breakdown rifles with a scope, powerbelt bullets, 777 pellets, and shotgun primers. My father and some of his friends custom build and shoot smokeless muzzleloaders. Is there anything in particular you are curious about?
  21. I hope there is a warranty involved.
  22. Can you determine if the oil you saw was motor oil or hydraulic fluid (check the levels of each)? Hydraulic oil probably=blown hose. Engine oil probably =blown engine.
  23. Blown engine? There are probably bypass valves somewhere for the hydraulics that will let you move the mower much easier than dragging it.
  24. Advantages: Longer sight radius, Slightly higher velocities. Disadvantages: Longer. Either of those should be a dandy. I wouldn't get too hung up on twist rates and/or chamberings unless you plan to shoot competition, or have a very specific load you want to shoot.
