WalMart has held little of interest to me in quite a long time.

It's my kid's first truck. I parted with my last Chevy sometime back.

If Chevrolet didn't use 10 different parts for the same thing on the same make and model, it'd be a lot simpler. I've done some learning while fooling with this. I guess that's something. The ebay seller I got this from has been awesome in helping so far.

Now they tell me it is the wrong module and will swap it out. Fun stuff.

Like I said, it works when the module is unplugged. Of course it doesn't read the ABS system while it is unplugged, however.

It runs great without the module. Plug it in and all sorts of weird stuff happens.

I'm scared I'll burn up something expensive if I plug it in with the truck running. You don't think it'll hurt anything, like burning out the BCM? If that would work, I can turn the light off with my code scanner. I've been emailing back and forth with the seller I bought this thing from. So far they've just asked for information. It is Sunday night. I'm surprised they responded. Hopefully I'll get a resolution from them.
