  1. I hope they keep a camera and microphone in front of her face until November.
  2. Glad to hear from you, Doug. Check in with us once in a while when you get a chance. Oh yeah....tell us the secret to catching fish please.
  3. We’re good, but I would like a well. I don’t think there’s much water where we live.
  4. Pull the shotgun tight against your shoulder before firing, and kudos to you for learning to provide your own protection. Welcome to the forum.
  5. I doubt it. I sure wouldn't take it knowing someone who really wanted it wouldn't get it if I did. I never take a flu shot. I have only a bit more faith in the medical community than I do in the media. There's is a reason they refer to a physician as "practicing".
  6. Once, on a Saturday morning, I was awakened by the thunderous call of a wild turkey right outside my bedroom window. It was about this time of year. He didn't wake my wife.....but the shotgun blast did!
  7. We killed a bunch of skeet here this afternoon. Anybody got a good recipe?
  8. If you have a smoker, you probably know more than i do about it, but here's an easy, delicious chicken recipe. Maybe it'll steer someone in the right direction. Salt and pepper pretty heavily a whole chicken with coarse ground pepper and coarse sea salt, and let stand in refrigerator overnight. 2 chickens are even better. Put water in water tray, wood chips in bin, open draft vent halfway, and preheat to 250 degrees f. Smoke chicken, occasionally adding wood chips for more smoke, for about 45 minutes to 1 hour per pound. until internal temp reaches 165 degrees f. Enjoy.
  9. Just bent the extractor and put it back together. No parts necessary.
  10. 46%? I'm calling B.S. on that one.
  11. I know there's more out there! We're locked at home. What else you got to do? Post em up!
  12. LOL! Last year, my wife was the only one in the house to get a flu shot, and the only one to get the flu. I am in no way equating the two, but it did make me snicker a bit.
  13. I was social distancing when social distancing wasn't cool!
  14. Well, that was a bit of a challenge for an all thumbs guy like myself. That extractor really likes being home. I think I got it though. This thread may have saved me from trading off a gun I really, really like. And it now runs like a Swiss watch! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Thanks guys! Don't know why I didn't check youtube. This guy gives a pretty good explanation.
  16. I have discovered that most everything on an AR is designed to launch upon disassembly. I wouldn’t expect a pistol to be much different.
  17. Thank you, sir.
  18. Is it necessary to remove the firing pin and retainer before removing the extractor? My EMP occasionally leaves a tired case in the chamber. I figure the ejector needs a bit more tension.
  19. I’ve always hated being in a crowd. My wife has finally started to see a bit of logic in that dread.
  20. Despite the orange barrel being the state flower, I expect you’ll agree that Tennessee has as good a highway system as anywhere you’ll go. Oh yeah, thanks for hauling our stuff to market!
  21. You are correct, sir. It's just that the wife and kids have grown accustomed to eating.
  22. The same governor who ordered us to all stay home requires me to go to work every day. Funny how that works, no?
  23. Perhaps we should all lighten up a bit.
  24. How am I any more likely to catch a virus towing my boat to the lake, sitting in my boat fishing, and towing it back home all by myself, than sitting around the house? You’ve always seemed reasonable in the past. What gives?
