  1. ^^^This post^^^ You were educating me on why tax rates have to go up.
  2. Yet in an earlier post, I find you advocating for tax increases.
  3. We left “reasonable” a long time ago.
  4. Well, let me ask it this way...How much is enough? Nearly half of my household income goes to one tax or another.
  5. When I hunt squirrels with a shotgun, I use #5 or #6 shot. Gauge never really seems to matter but a full choke helps. You will find a few shot in the meat from time to time. If you missed it cleaning the squirrel, simply spit it out.
  6. Tax revenue also increases every year. If you keep raising tax rates, you eventually get to 100%. What then?
  7. Why can’t taxes remain the same forever?
  8. Nashville can pare down a bunch on fiscal spending. Not everyone on the payroll collects trash or writes traffic tickets.
  9. What was that the magical President once said? “Elections have consequences.”
  10. Am I the only one who thought he looked like a Saint Bernard? Regardless, he was a great part of a great group.
  11. If I remember correctly, the recommended Pyrodex charge for my 1859 copy exactly fills a chamber level full. Not sure if black powder is the same or if this is a coincidence. These hog legs are a blast to shoot, and surprisingly accurate, but cleaning them well enough they won’t later corrode is nearly impossible.
  12. What isn’t good with bacon or fried in bacon grease?
  13. Boil it in water until it wilts. Drain. (Some folks insist on adding fresh water and boiling again.) Fry it in bacon grease. Mix in eggs and salt to taste. I’ll pick a plastic grocery bag nearly full. Just get the tops. It’ll look like a lot, but will boil down to a manageable amount. After you boil it down, I heat about 3 tablespoons of bacon grease in a skillet and add the poke. Cook out what water didn’t drain out of it. I salt it liberally and scramble 3 eggs in it.
  14. Reduced 4 pack of Mixed pork chops- $2.47 Pack of instant 4 cheese mashed potatoes- $.99 Poke salet- free...just go pick it! It doesn’t have to cost a lot to eat well.
  15. I’d gladly swap you a cherry 94 for a model 70 in 257 Roberts.
  16. It’s up now. If you like it like I do, now’s the time to go get it. I have a pot of it boiling down now in preparation for supper. If you aren’t sure how to cook it, just ask. I’ll tell you, and I’m sure there are several other members here who know how.
  17. Let’s see ‘em, Earl. I love am old Winchester or 3! Are you buying, selling, or just bragging?
  18. The front sight appears correct to me.
  19. The serial number is on the butt. Yours is one of the last models with a pinned barrel. It is a high quality gun, and the fact that there are millions of them keeps their value below what it should be. It never ceases to amaze me how accurate these old service revolvers are. It will shoot more +p ammo than the average Joe could ever afford to feed it.
  20. If that is the case, where did the lab get the virus. I was under the impression it was new.
  21. That is a classy firearm!
  22. You gotta strike while the iron is hot. I picked up a few cheap, and seriously considered buying a crate of them when they were available. The wife did not share my enthusiasm so I didn’t go through with it.
  23. Who’s in for a group buy?
  24. Ok. That might just be doable.
  25. Ugh! If it’s an f150 like I have, it looks like you’d nearly have.to pull the cab off to get to the head.
