I wasn’t aware they’d change the numbers on you. I.’be never had that happen.

Memorial Day weekend, I bought a new boat. The following Tuesday, I mailed in the required information, application, and payment according to their instructions. Heard nothing for a month. Yesterday, I got an email from them stating the payment was received, but I wouldn’t be getting a sticker or number until they received some unspecified piece of information. I sent them a copy of what I sent the first time. They won’t answer the phone, return calls, or respond to emails. I’d like to use the boat without fear of being ticketed for not having the stickers on it. You think I’m asking too much?

The numbers in my little community are going up sharply. Supposedly, our high school principal was tested last Thursday (why I do not know). Anyway, he was at graduation Friday night, and church Sunday. On Monday, this tool received a positive test result. Now I'm no germaphobe, but if I felt the need to be tested for corona, I'd damn sure stay away from crowds until I got the test results back.

Anybody know anything about Swiss 22lr Conversions?
gregintenn replied to MrBrian's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
I’ve no information for you, but those are friggin cool!!! We have a man here who I bet will know all about them. I expect he’ll see this thread sometime. -
Since the streets aren’t piled high with dead and dying COVID-19 positive protestors, I think I will revert to my original theory that this was blown way out of proportion.

Well it IS a gun forum!

You can’t go wrong with a Liberty safe. I have a Liberty and a Cannon. Both are good, but the Liberty is better. I could use another one. The guys who said get a larger one than you think you’ll need give good advice! Make sure you spring for fire protection. Buy once, cry once. Don’t cheap out on this one! The Safe House and DT McCall’s both deliver and provide good customer service.

Drive forward while accelerating. A vehicle makes a quite formidable weapon as well as a deterrent when operated correctly. This actually happened once. We made a wrong turn in Hopkinsville while going to a motorcross track. Several “young gentlemen” lined up shoulder to shoulder blocking the road. We were in my buddie’s mom’s Cadillac. He asked what he should do. I told him if he wanted to get back home, his best option was to mash the accelerator. They promptly decided to yield the right of way to us. Had we stopped, I doubt it would have turned out as well.

http:// Finally got it hoed and plowed. The corn came up kind of spotty, but everything seems to be doing well. We are already getting tomatoes.

Couple New (to me) Lever Guns - Both kind of an oddball
gregintenn replied to KahrMan's topic in Long Guns
A handgun should have a cylinder, a shotgun should have two barrels, and a rifle should have a lever. That is a nice pair. Most folks do not realize how high quality a rifle Marlin built before the Remlin takeover. -
Naaaaa. You’d best just stay in Memphis. It really sucks out here in the boonies.

Anybody here fish Lake Guntersville?

We had roughly the same weather. To get to the channel from where we were, you had to go up or down the lake about a mile and find a hidden creek channel. Then you had to raise the motor and remove the bale of grass from the lower unit before you could get on plane. I only caught a couple of small bass and a few catfish. Missed one big bass on a buzz bait. My wife caught a few small bluegills. It also turns out that everything in northern Alabama is closed on Monday and Tuesday for some odd reason. We were almost to our rented cabin when we encountered a road closed sign. I looked and it was about 40 miles to go around. Luckily I have a 4 wheel drive truck and insurance on the boat. The road was washed off the hill, but not quite as closed as they made it out to be. i don’t think we’ll be going back either, Doug. I’ll never doubt you again. I -
You just don’t get that kind of cool factor from a gun on the rack at WalMart. That is why I am a fan of old guns.

I have little information for you, but that appears to pe a pretty high quality piece.

Dang! This thing is shallow except for the channel. Full of weeds too. I need th o find an ap or something. When I finally got it to the dock, there was a bale of hay wrapped around my prop! -
Negative.

What a great way to spend some spare time! I’d be proud to own that little rifle.

We rented a house with a covered boat dock. I’d be happy sitting on the dock nursing a cold one or cup of coffee. Dang! I’m getting old. The occasional tug on the line would make it nicer though. -

My wife and I are going. She wanted to go on a trip for our 25th anniversary. We were going to Cody, Wyoming bit our flight got cancelled. This seemed like a good fall back plan. I don’t reckon things are being burned or looted there. We’ll have fun whether or not the fish bite. -

I’m the same way about Kentucky. I bought a license last year and fished at Barren River twice. -
Depends on what you’re looking for.

When I was a kid, my sister lived in Scottsboro, right on the lake. I would go stay down there in the summer some. There was a boy who lived next to them and was about my age. We’d fish from the bank and caught a lot of bass. He would somehow rig a crankbait to where it would chase a rooster tail. It looked like it was about to eat the little spinner. The bass loved that setup. I wish I could remember exactly how he did it. -
I'm going there shortly. Any hints would be greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking Covid magically disappeared over the weekend. That's cool.
