I do know for a fact that CBS channel 5 out of Nashville had not touched the story until my neighbor challenged them on it on Facebook. At least they do listen to their customers. As this is local news, I do not expect them to give the story much air time. I do, however, expect the national newscasts to give it a nod.

Remember Michael Brown? They covered that story for months nearly non stop. Turns out, he needed shooting. Have you seen them report this on air?

The exclusion and hatred is more perceived than real in my opinion. The real racism comes from the Democrat party. I am 47 years old, and cannot remember one thing the Democrat party has done to help Americans, and especially black Americans. On the other hand, I can't name a whole lot Republicans have done for us either.

This is an example of the worst, most insulting, most blatant form of racism I can imagine; the soft bigotry of low expectations. Let’s pretend your kid and my kid apply for the same college. They are equal in every way. Same clubs in high school, same ACT scores, everything. There is only one spot available. Guess who’s going to that school. Why? Affirmative action. To me this implies that the government thinks your kid is somehow inferior to mine, so he needs a helping hand. I do not agree with that assessment. I don’t expect you do either.

I thought it was presented in such a way that you could make up your own mind. I saw him as a bit odd, but not a nut job. He had plenty of reasons to be angry; both real and perceived.

I dunno. I’m not sure anybody in that whole town is suitable to wear a white hat.

Here's a perfect example of why I believe nothing the media produces. So far, I've heard at least 3 explanations...a fireworks factory, ammonium nitrate from Russia, and a terrorist bombing. I doubt any of them are correct. It was a quite impressive sight, however!
