  1. I have a single shot 30-30 and have loaded and shot spitzer bullets in it with good results.
  2. Today, the 30-30 has gained the reputation as a slow, incapable, and outdated cartridge. Truth is that it is just as accurate and deadly as it was 125 years ago. I do not believe North America has produced a creature that can’t be reliably taken with the old 170 grain Silvertip load. What actually happened is that we have largely become slow, incapable hunters expecting our gear to make up for our shortcomings.
  3. Bit of course says this guy planning to build a garage.
  4. There are several of you guys up that way I’d like to meet.
  5. No doubt. I think Oh Shoot would be entertaining as well.
  6. I have to meet you in person some day!
  7. I didn't make that statement because I figured some obscure foreign cartridge might have beat it to market by a few days.
  8. You’ll find early 1899 Savage rifles marked “30 Savage” which were chambered for the 30-30. It definitely overshadowed it’s competitor at the time, which was the 303 Savage. The 30-30 was considered a high speed round at the time, as we were coming out of the black powder age. Although it has a black powder designation, I am unaware of any commercial 30-30 ammunition ever loaded with black powder.
  9. Be respectful of your neighbors and I doubt you’ll have any problems. If you are outside the city limits, I do not know of any reason you can’t shoot on your property.
  10. Those are classics. Congratulations.
  11. LOL! What did the other grip say? Something and "or" or "from"?
  12. Marlin 1894 pre safety in 44 mag or 357 mag.
  13. LOL!
  14. Meh...that one is all scratched up.
  15. TGO David once told me that all Smith and Wesson revolvers look alike too. It hurt a bit, but bad as I wanted to, I couldn’t argue.
  16. Awesome! It looks exactly like every other Glock I've seen.
  17. We should start a club and have a swap meet or something.
  18. I still have room for a few more.
  19. Now I love Red Green.
  20. Dixie Gun Works is good to go. Better yet, take a day and drive over there and see it in person. It’s a worthwhile trip. Make sure you go in their museum while you are there.
  21. Not me, sorry. British comedy escapes me.
  22. Sorry to hear this my friend. I hope you get another. They are great company.
  23. Very nice. mine is a mess.
  24. I had a 72” finish mower on a tractor. It took over 3 hours to mow my yard. Bought a 61” commercial zero turn and can mow it all in less than 2 hours. That’s a lot of time saved over the course of a mowing season. Also, the rear tires don’t waft the scent of fresh dog crap right by my face like the tractor did.
  25. Blame it on Covid...or Trump.
