  1. All the dumbazzes stumbling around WalMart staring at their phones while wearing masks on their chins aren't helping a damn thing. You may feel good doing it. Other people may feel good about you doing it, but that doesn't change the fact that masks are simply window dressing.
  2. But it looks like you care. Virtue signaling is a powerful tool in today's world.
  3. Link please?
  4. If viruses were only passed via folks urinating on one another, this would make sense.
  5. There is an entire industry developed around taking advantage of folks who refuse to be prepared. Buy here pay here car lots and check cashing places are among them. Ammo speculators are no different. If it weren’t lucrative, it wouldn’t happen.
  6. Exactly. This is referred to as a self fulfilling prophecy.
  7. Sounds good. Now to find one in stock....and maybe a good Black Friday deal. If you see something; say something. Thanks for the help.
  8. It’s out of stock, but probably about what I am looking for. Thanks.
  9. You are full of chit. I've seen you looking for a gun. "Money is no object" is definitely not your philosophy. LOL! I see you and I are neck and neck on the popular contributor board. We should probably both find something more productive to do.
  10. She'll be on facebook, pinterest, make the occasional photo, and probably use it for the occasional zoom meeting. I expect that's about it. Probably don't need the latest and greatest. She isn't a techie either.
  11. From what I read, background checks for gun purchases have been setting all kinds of records lately. Do you reckon the folks buying all these guns might just buy something to shoot in them? Further, if a guy puts a brick of 22 shells on gunbroker for a penny start, no reserve auction, how did he set the selling price? There is another element to capitalism. It's called supply and demand. When demand increases and supply does not, prices rise. When demand lessens and supply remains the same, prices decrease.
  12. My wife wants an iPad for Christmas. I don’t know chit about iPads. I’d sure appreciate some guidance from some of the tech gurus among us.
  13. On it's surface, National Reciprocity sounds good, but the more I think about it, the more I fear it would lead to some sort of national registry.
  14. We should do away with the bill of rights and craft a "bill of needs".
  15. The grips will fit. I know a guy who’d be interested in the old ones.
  16. I know I'm not tired of winning yet!
  17. One of my kids and his girlfriend had it a while back. They both agreed they'd had worse colds. THey thought it odd they couldn't smell or taste much for a while.
  18. I haven’t seen a gray fox around here in years. See red ones regularly.
  19. I'll be happy to just see the final product. There is a certain satisfaction in doing a job yourself.
  20. Now that ain’t a bad idea! Of course it’s out of stock.
  21. A great explanation. Thanks for sharing!
  22. No kidding! I had my yard cleaned up Saturday. I guess I’ll start over tomorrow. No idea where most of these leaves came from.
  23. Power belts, in my experience, are accurate and easy to load, but their performance on game is somewhat lackluster. I still use them just because they are accurate and handy. Congratulations to your wife. My wife has a shoulder mount of a spike. She’s not really a hunter, but went out and killed this deer just to show her older brother she could. She had it mounted so he wouldn’t forget. LOL
  24. Black walnut will make a serviceable gunstock. As others have stated, it first has to be dried. Inletting a stock, particularly for a bolt action rifle, is a long and tedious process unless you have access to a stock duplicating machine. In short, there’s a helluva lot of work between tree and gunstock.
  25. It is a little Tacoma and a large deer. Miraculously, it did not appear to hurt a thing on the truck! I did have a bit of notice, so I was standing on the brake pedal with both feet when I hit him. The deer went down a steep embankment into some grown up mess. I went later and tried to find it. No luck. I sure don’t know how he survived. The weather looks great for you next week, and the rut is in full blast.
