  1. A high condition run of the mill 94 carbine isn't rare. For 5 grand, I can put someone into a pair of them.
  2. The larger problem is the mindset of those who elect those who do it.
  3. WOWZER! Can someone please explain this to me? Don't even get me started on 99 Savage prices.
  4. Sure it matters. It isn't our biggest problem, but it is a problem all the same.
  5. I bought a set of grips for a Heavy Frame Target 22 that I never thought I'd find, but there is a grip screw and escutcheon missing. I bought a junk set of j frame grips from ebay only to find the screw is too big. I have earlier J and I frame grips that have the smaller, correct screw. Would anyone have such a thing lying around, or know where I could find these items?
  6. What are you going to do with your welfare?
  7. I use a similar system. I was looking for something in one of the safes. As I pulled out guns, I told my kid when I grabbed one that I was going to be as surprised as he would be when I saw what it was. LOL! There are some truly anal retentive folks on here.
  8. Different philosophies I suppose.
  9. You see my point of view. Now maybe you can help me out. We have several folks from up north who’ve seen fit to move here. How they found “here” remains a mystery. What would you consider an acceptable way to treat them? Should I walk up and start a conversation? Should I just respectfully leave them alone? I wouldn’t want to offend or make anyone uncomfortable. My wife usually greets local folks who move into our community with a fresh baked pie or something similar.
  10. I always enjoy your posts, and usually agree with them. Things like this, however, is why we all hate seeing a yankee in a U-haul truck. It is your property. Do with it as you please. We are simply trying to illustrate hypothetical situations in which your ideas might not work out so well. I have wonderful neighbors. I often see one neighbor headed back across my property to maintain his stock fence. No problem. He doesn’t need to stop and ask permission. If I’m not busy, I might go help him. To have good neighbors, it helps to be one. There might come a time I could use his help. No doubt he’d he there. I don’t think he booby traps his property either. Somehow we get by.
  11. Look at your bank account. The stimulus check is probably in there.
  12. You’re one of them evil rich folks!
  13. On a serious note, what should we all run out and panic buy this time? Cleaning supplies, paper products, and ammo are so 2020.
  14. Need pics and description.
  15. $1800 should buy a good supply of toilet paper, right?
  16. My preference would be a pre safety Marlin.
  17. One of my favorite firearms, and the one most often shot, is a Model 18 Smith and Wesson 22LR revolver. Most people, for whatever reason, will buy cheap 22. Don't. Get one you'll enjoy shooting. They are good, inexpensive practice. They are also good for introducing new shooters to the sport. Cheap ammo, low noise, and low recoil while maintaining the accuracy of their centerfire brethren make a quality 22 handgun well worth owning.
  18. All of my older neighbors were like another set of grandparents. I wish everybody could have grown up like that. The world would be a better place.
  19. I guess you do understand what I meant. I was hoping you didn’t. We should just agree to disagree. I couldn’t live with myself if my neighbor’s kids ended their hide and seek game by becoming ensnared in a bear trap or whatever else you’ve used as examples in earlier posts.
  20. 2020 is about to become old enough to drink! What could go wrong? Happy New Year everybody!
  21. I figured you’d interpret my post differently than I meant it. Do you have children? Do you suppose they ever got into something or went somewhere they shouldn’t have? Should this he punished with booby traps?
  22. Looks like a good place to steer clear of to me. Best of luck to the more adventurous among us.
  23. Can you post pics of the rifle in question?
  24. At some point, you’d think a judge should bear some responsibility for repeat offenders.
  25. If my kid gets turned around while squirrel hunting , or looking for his dog, and accidentally crosses your property looking for a road, and gets tangled up in your booby trap, guess what sort of relationship you and I are about to have. Bad idea. I guess everybody doesn’t have the same respect for neighbors and community that I was raised around.
