  1. How do it shoot?
  2. LOL! That didn't last long!
  3. Thanks, Doug!
  4. I can appreciate that, but would hope you find a suitable pro second amendment organization to support.
  5. I would like to offer my sincere gratitude to those of you who responded to this thread. I'd also like to bump it in case anyone missed it the first go around. It would appear that TFA is doing some great work for us here in Tennessee, and I have expectations that we will get constitutional carry this legislative session. We have a couple of members here who work tirelessly for our gun rights via this organization and do not ask for recognition. I do think they could use your support at this time. Also, TGO is a valuable resource for gun owners in Tennessee. We should be grateful it exists. I would ask those of you who frequent this site and benefit from it to consider becoming a member if you aren't already. It may be free to you, but it definitely isn't free to keep on the internet.
  6. Macon County did. My wife and I were there to witness it. So was a bunch of other Macon County residents.
  7. One for each hand...I like it!
  8. I’m a lefty, but don’t see the logic in a left handed AR. They would be harder to sell and more expensive to build. I’ve yet to have a brass problem with them. An ambi safety is handy however. I am glad to see left handed components available for those who want them.
  9. As a man who has had shards of steel dug out of his eyeballs, I tend to be a proponent of safety glasses in certain situations. They can actually help.
  10. I can’t believe grown men are on a gun forum discussing the wearing of masks. Man up and live your lives, guys.
  11. You are a hero in my eyes for taking on such a challenge. I wish I had your bravery and strength, but sadly I do not.
  12. I’m not much help and I won’t pretend to know what you’re dealing with, but anytime you need to vent, we’re here for you and willing to listen. May God bless you and your family.
  13. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner!
  14. With the exception of one member who I haven't seen post in years, I consider TGO members to be miles ahead of the general public, and welcome at my home anytime.
  15. I’d like to hear about the 1911s and 1911A1s. I’m not in Knoxville, but coupd arrange transportation if required.
  16. I’d look again at the second one.
  17. A little pricey, but nice.
  18. Mosins were oddly interesting at $100 a pop, but at $400-500, they just aren't that great a rifle. I'd suggest waiting until the insanity subsides or buying something much nicer for the same money. A rifle built on a magnum Mauser 98 action just sold in the classifieds here. It was listed at $450, and would be a far superior rifle in every aspect to the best Mosin ever produced.
  19. I was finding them on ebay and occasionally on gun forums for spot price or below. That’s dried up for now. About a month ago, I bought a roll of 2020 Silver Eagles for $500 shipped off another gun forum. Sometimes I’ll run a bunch of junk silver dollars up to 18-20 apiece. Many times I’ll get outbid, but sometimes I get the coins. I’ve found you get a better deal buying a roll at a time than buying individual coins. We have a local thrift store that is for all intents and purposes a pawn shop. Sometimes I can buy gold and silver from him at spot. He buys below spot and just wants to turn a quick buck. You just have to watch.
  20. I’ve been buying silver coins for a while now. May be time to liquidate them before long.
  21. If you've never went to see his homeplace up in Pall Mall, it is worth the ride in my opinion.
  22. We were informed in n uncertain terms that CBD use did not guarantee a failed random drug test, but could do so, and f t did, we have no recurse. That’ll keep me away from it.
  23. 6” if I am not mistaken.
  24. I have not. I’ve never had one lettered. If it hasn’t been refinished, it is in really good shape. If it has been refinished, it was done by someone who knows how to do it correctly.
  25. I have not fired it, but probably will at some point. They aren’t made for high velocity ammo, so standard velocity target loads it is.
