  1. You have all the cool toys! Can’t wait to see it.
  2. That’s about the bottom in today’s market.
  3. I’ll pass. The scenery here is quite pleasant for the most part.
  4. You are right. The Lightner Museum was quite impressive. I don’t care for the glassware, but everything else in there including the building it’s self was well worth seeing. I’m weird, but I really enjoyed the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not museum. It is in a castle.
  5. You priced a Garand lately?
  6. Saw an 8’ road kill alligator on I-95. That was pretty cool. The wife wasn’t amused when I mentioned stopping amd putting it in the trunk.
  7. I’d like to go back to the old part of town tomorrow and see some things we missed. The parking situation could be improved. We drove down to Daytona this evening. That’s a wild place.
  8. Oh yeah. Keeping her happy is the whole point of the trip. I’d love to see the fort, but there’s a line of folks standing there that looks like the Rolling Stones are about to play. There’s a fort south of here we might go check out. I’d like to go back downtown and see some more things we missed. There’s a lot to see here if you like crowds. I do not care for them. The scenery at the pool is nice. As long as they don’t run out of beer, I’ll make it.
  9. Thanks for the suggestions. It’s Gatlinburg with sand. My wife likes it.
  10. That’s my usual fishing hole.
  11. Me and my son went to Dale Hollow a couple of weeks ago. Couldn't find any shellcrackers. We did catch some big bluegills. That's the only time I've been so far this year.
  12. One of those Rock Olas sure is tempting.
  13. Where in the world have you been? I was just wondering about you. I haven’t seen you here in a while. I hope all is well.
  14. Check with Sam Hoster on South Water in Gallatin.
  15. I had a buddy who ran a gun store for a while. He’d call me to ask what I thought about trades pretty often. He’d also give me good deals on trade ins I was interested in. Sometimes it’s good to be the gun guy.
  16. Buy a bolt and borrow a set of go/no go headspace gauges. You might luck out and not need a gunsmith. If it doesn’t headspace properly, then you need a gunsmith or machinist.
  17. I haven’t owned or shot a Girsan, but I have a Rock Island and can’t complain about it.
  18. But it’s still a battle implement; not something designed to require a lot of care.
  19. I’ve noticed that the USPS does a fabulous job for me....as long as a package doesn’t go through that hub. If it does, you can bet it will be as well traveled as Hank Snow once it finally reaches it’s destination. I’ve seen tracking lists pages long.
  20. You mainly wipe off fingerprints and store it indoors. They were military weapons and not priceless works of art after all.
  21. I'm sure you could find a gunsmith that would happily take his money, but it ain't that hard to clean a bolt action rifle yourself.
  22. Probably because we are no longer allowed to discuss politics on here. This forum is only for second amendment related politics. You might want to delete your post or else come up with a great tie in to the second amendment.
  23. No kidding. This was to die for. I had to stop myself from shooting a deer in the back yard yesterday just to put it on the smoker.
  24. Corn cob media, tumbler about half full. Squirt of Nu Finish car polish, and a used dryer sheet. Tumble 3-4 hours. When that doesn’t produce desired results, dump in trash and start with clean media. It isn’t an exact science.
  25. I really like the wood, round butt Smith and Wesson Combat grips with finger grooves, but they are quite pricey these days when you find them.
