Most folks don’t value your time the same as they value their own. If it happened here, by all means, leave a negative feedback. I find the feedback system here very useful for evaluating whether I want to deal with a particular person or not. It takes a while to amass a good reputation and only a moment to destroy one. Just be factual and accurate. Do not let emotion help write the feedback.

Oddly, I cannot follow the front sight on a big bore revolver. Hard as I try, it just disappears for a split second when then gun fires. You were correct. I wasn't correctly following through. I'm hitting the center now. I just need to figure out a way to program this into my brain long term. I'm sure that means a lot of shooting. Thanks to everybody for the help.

I now officially have a kid smarter than me! He graduated this afternoon with a BA in engineering from TTU.

Nope. I was a boy scout. “Be Prepared” has always been my motto.

We’re going to make a conservative out of you yet!

Same reason 380 is half again more expensive than 9mm? -
Leaked, New Law Could Upend Firearm Industry
gregintenn replied to The Legion's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I’d think the barrel would be the better target so to speak. I’ve always loved to see the imaginative work arounds invented because of various ATF decrees. I expect whatever happens here will see some good ones. -

That couldn’t be more vague. -
Anybody got one of these Rugers yet? Looks like they are out of stock everywhere. Surprise surprise!

Unless you’re driving a big ole diesel truck, you got the shaft. I’ve always changed my own. There was an old mam who always changed my wife’s oil. I don’t know how he made any money at it, but she liked him, so we kept letting him do it til he retired and then passed away. Since then, I’m her oil changer too.

Quarter a piece sounds like a good deal to me. My neighbor has a greenhouse. He sells plants, but I have no idea what for. He never lets me pay for some reason.

I do to.

I’d rather have your rifle. I guess it depends on what you’d rather have. I imagine it’s about a wash value wise.

I’ve seen airlines do that. Not a good business practice in my opinion.

What questions do you have?

I may have seen some 4198 at the Reloader's Bench this morning. Might be worthwhile to give em a call.

I finally found some at the Reloader’s Bench this morning. Inflation has definitely hit the reloading industry, but now I can go back to loading for the Garand. They do have a limited selection of powder in case anyone else is looking.

Exactly! I’m under no illusion of being a gunfighter by any means, but I do value the opportunity to have a fighting chance. I believe a can do attitude, situational awareness, and the willingness to go through with what needs to be done will most often trump your count of rounds available. If I were really expecting trouble, I would first prefer to be elsewhere, and if that failed, I would want a rifle.

Same here!!!

In my personal experience, I have felt the need for a handgun twice. Luckily, on both occasions, the mere act of drawing and taking a defensive stance quickly deescalated the situation. Both times, had I been forced to fight, I seriously doubt I had the skill or ammunition to prevail. Surprisingly, at the time, I did feel I had the commitment and determination to give it one helluva try.

Tin coating is a process I’m not familiar with.
