  1. No one could build a bridge across the Mississippi in a year I assure you. I expect there will be a manufacturing flaw discovered in that one particular beam, and it will be replaced quickly.
  2. It’s going to need to be a sliding scale.
  3. I may have to drive over there to by some at some point. I’m told Lafayette is dry. I’d prefer it to be $10 a gallon and available if I need it that $1 a gallon and unavailable. Your mileage may vary.
  4. My Winchester was $150. Inflation don’t ya know.
  5. They probably had bid numbers.
  6. I’ve seen the photos. It’s bad.
  7. Wow!
  8. I understand they’ve about drained the pumps dry up here in Macon County.
  9. Naa. He’ll run out of gas.
  10. There ain’t that many bridges over the Mississippi between Tennessee and Arkansas, are there?
  11. Ouch! It seems Ayn Rand’ “Atlas Shrugged” is coming to fruition.
  12. For sure. I've never shot a Savage that wasn't very accurate. That looks great!
  13. Most certainly it is with me. I’ve been shooting a bit lately, and it’s coming back nicely. I should shoot more often.
  14. If you get on it, you could have that finished by my birthday! That's gonna make a fine deer rifle.
  15. I know nothing about wood carving knives, but can tell you Mora makes great general purpose knives at great prices. I'd be surprised to find their carving knives are any different.
  16. LOL! I have a kid in Panama City right now, and I'd bet what's in my wallet they don't have a quarter tank of gas in the car. They are big and strong and several of them, so pushing it back to Tennessee might be a good life lesson.
  17. I like to keep a good supply of loaded ammo handy, but also like to keep a good supply of assorted reloading supplies handy as well. I like to try new loads. Also, sure as I loaded thousands of rounds of something, there'd be something I decided I didn't like about that particular load.
  18. It seems to work well in other forums I frequent.
  19. He’s got a job with a local contractor.
  20. Do ya feel lucky?
  21. Interesting. I didn't figure there'd ever be any more. I have a Winchester and an Inland. Everyone who I ever saw shoot one was smiling. They are a hoot!
  22. Thanks guys! Other than my wife, he’s the first person in my family to ever see the inside of a college, so it’s a pretty big deal to me.
  23. Yep... plus geometry. A shorter sight radius and less stability really shows any flaw in one’s form. I want to pick one up and shoot like Jerry Miculek, but it just ain’t gonna happen.
