Got a guy coming this evening to give an estimate. I'm not a smart man, but I see too much downside and little upside in tackling this project myself. The tree is right on the property line. I'm not going to ask my neighbor to help pay, but would it be reasonable to let him help with the cost if he offers?

As I said, the pictures don't do it justice. This is a very, very large limb. Larger than the average tree. There might even be a log in it.
-
It’s larger than it appears. A tree service might be cheaper.
-
Any advice for the poison ivy? It almost completely covers the limb. I’m a do it myself kind of guy, but this might require a professional who isn’t allergic to that dreaded vine of misery.
-
I know we have at least one arborist on the forum. What is the safe and effective way to put the other end of this gigantic limb on the ground? I have a pole saw and a regular chainsaw. That poison ivy presents it's own problem.

Just look at it, then google a few pics of real Holland and Holland rifles.
-
That sounds awesome!
-
That was constructed by Bubba; not Holland and Holland.

We're gonna need pictures!

If you’ve never stopped and got food from a roadside Mexican taco stand, don’t cheat yourself. I doubt there’s any better food on the planet. That is all.

They redecorated, but it’s still there.

One of my favorites.

Deer are mean. I once shot a doe a small buck was chasing. Mistake! I had to shoot him too…self defense.

That was the best idea MLB has had in years. As a baseball and baseball movie enthusiast, I really enjoyed it.

Not like they want to.

Issues....not sure how to classify it.

You could probably put a 30 cal bronze brush on an old piece of cleaning rod, chuck it in a drill, and go to work cleaning that chamber. Some sort of cleaning solvent would likely help. Listen to garufa. He’s a wise men. Steel case ammo with the powder type lube on the cases aren’t bad. That lacquer coated stuff shoots, but it’s messy. -
Do you really want government, your employer, an insurance company, et tal. telling you when to exercise, what to eat, and where you can and cannot go? I do not.

If we all made good health decisions, there wouldn't be much of a medical system left.
-
You are correct, sir. I got my wording all screwed up. Thanks for the correction.
-
Of course not! Just the ones Erik and his buddy don’t approve of.

I propose we stop treating folks who can’t or won’t pay the bill. That’ll open up resources for those of us who do.

I believe in that right for businesses. It doesn’t make sense to me, but they can definitely do as they please. I also believe that this should also open the company to any possible liability that could ever arise from such a mandate.

Mrs. Tn got the notice today. Take the jab by Sept. 30 or your employment is terminated. This company is willing to fire a 20+ year employee with a stellar record who is never within 60 miles of the place of employment. I'm glad Tennessee is a right to work state, but wow.

Pardon me. I’ve lost my page. Is it global warming or the ‘rona that’s gonna get me first?

I never initiated it, but gladly took advantage. I assumed this happened everywhere. Ya’ll never had a bomb threat on a sunny Friday about lunchtime?
