  1. I finally got a chance to try escargot on a cruise ship a few years back. Just as I had imagined, it had a fairly strong taste of topsoil. I still don’t see the attraction.
  2. If you’ve ever seen a possum crawl out of a bloated, dead cow’s arse, all slicked over with maggots rolling off him, you really wouldn’t find them very appetizing.
  3. If you’re game for a little road trip, Gamaliel Shooting Supply usually has a nice selection of higher grade shotguns.
  4. I’m done.
  5. I have a bunch of little booklets they used to sell on ebay that consist of loading data from a bunch of different manuals, specific to one caliber. I also have a shotgun loading manual, a cast bullet manual, and several old books like the Pet Loads set by Ken Waters. For a newby, The ABCs of reloading is a great reference for answering basic questions and describing what you’ll need and how to safely reload. I have this one as well. These are all handy from time to time.
  6. I prefer paying for Evan Williams.
  7. We've been treating her with Evan Williams. I've even used it as a precautionary measure as well.
  8. I have several reloading manuals, but my usual go-to is a well worn Sierra manual that has to be at least 30 years old. The manuals don't really go out of date, but you do miss out on load data for newer powders and bullets if you rely on the old books. If you're old school like me, it won't really make much difference.
  9. He wasn't up to it.
  10. I prefer the look and feel of a side by side, but seem to shoot an over/under better.
  11. I don't pretend to know. She was fine, got the jab, and has been sick fore more than a week. Probably not related, but I can't prove that either. We'll wait for Daniel to tell us.
  12. Pointless? A proper shotgun should have 2 barrels. There are many fine choices out there. A Citori would be an excellent choice.
  13. You said my wife would be better in two days. It’s day 9 and she’s still sick. She was fine before the jab. I don’t think you know everything you think you know. We all have opinions. We should he careful when trying to present them as facts or truth.
  14. No. Is your only reason for being here to be an irritant?
  15. That’s what I saw!
  16. Looking back at history, I find it hard to blame them for being skeptical of government medical tests. No idea why they insist on voting against their own best interests.
  17. She’ll be o.k. I just think it’s a shame healthy people get an ultimatum from their employer to get a shot that makes them sick or be fired.
  18. Good luck getting it back together. Keep us posted with a range report. My father bought a Trapdoor Springfield a couple of weeks back. I was skeptical, but it turned out to be surprisingly accurate. Maybe your Martini will be as well.
  19. She's still sick. I'll tell you said she shouldn't be. That'll make her feel better.
  20. I was making ice cream one time. I went out to check on the ice cream maker, and there was a possum staring at it going round and round. He appeared to be hypnotized.
  21. So when you catch the neighbor’s cat, you can just turn it back out without explaining why it’s leg is broken.
  22. That would work for some folks, but a guy like me would look more out of place carrying a tennis racket bag than a gun case. Around here, a guitar case would he the obvious solution, but then again, a gun case rarely raises an eyebrow in the places I tend to frequent.
  23. My son had a skunk in a live trap at his grandmother’s house. He asked me what to do with it. I told him to wait until dark and call his uncle that lives just down the road from there and tell him there’s a cat in the trap. He was too scared to do it. LOL!
  24. My bet is a coon.
