  1. Thank you, sir. All I want is the truth. I never dreamed it would be so hard to find.
  2. Can you confirm this data is accurate? If so, it reaffirms what I've thought all along. I've been looking for similar data and couldn't find it.
  3. There was. Folks like you were stubborn about going along with it, however.
  4. Sounds like a wonderful trip.
  5. Ask yourself how many times these prognosticators of impending doom and gloom have been correct thus far.
  6. I ordered some stuff from WalMart called Repels All. You sprinkle it around the perimeter of your garden. It isn’t cheap, but sure seemed like it worked pretty well. I’ll get it again next year.
  7. Could be time for a career change. I think my wife is about to face the same decision.
  8. Turkeys only dust in my garden and eat bugs. I’m good with both.
  9. LOL! My father lives in the city limits. I think he killed 3 deer in his garden last year. I haven’t heard a score yet for this season. Apparently nobody wants to confront an old man in his tighty whiteys at 3am carrying a shotgun. While I can’t recommend his approach, I can suggest a good air rifle.
  10. We’ve canned 31 quarts of green beans and probably gave that many away. They’ve just now started producing good. I guess I’ll give more away as we’re about tired of fooling with them. It’s raining cherry tomatoes here!
  11. Overkill still kills.
  12. Pull the slide all the way rearward, let go, and let 'er slam home. That's how they were designed to operate. Just shoot it and enjoy the genius of John Browning.
  13. I was just wondering if the two were related.
  14. Now the green beans are producing, and producing, and producing. The Rona may get us, but starvation ain’t likely for quite a while.
  15. Sorry to hear that. We’ve been getting rain pretty much as needed over here. Got a good rain last night in fact.
  16. 21 quarts of corn today plus a few dozen ears put up on the cob. We’re now out f the corn business for the year.
  17. Thanks for the clear explanation.
  18. Sadly, most don’t. I’ve listened to Phil long enough he seems like a member of the family.
  19. I had a nephew who was born prematurely contracted RSV before he ever left the hospital. It was sure rough on the little fella, but he finally overcame it.
  20. On a probably unrelated note, I’m hearing several reports locally of an outbreak of RSV. I thought that mainly affected small children, but these are pretty much all adults. Weird times.
  21. You are not the only one. It would appear there are two of us. You eat an elephant one bite at a time. I expect TFA sees this as a good way to raise funds as much as anything. I am, however, pleased with the TFA for getting this done. I would encourage any Tennessee gun enthusiast who isn’t a member to join.
  22. You probably weren’t far off.
  23. He was a talent not often encountered. RIP
  24. We put up 23 quarts of corn today. Mrs. Tenn wants to put up more Saturday.
  25. Sounds about right. I drove by a guy yesterday melting to his tailgate with a sign that read “sweet corn $3 a dozen.” I said to myself “Greg, you are a dumbazz for raising a garden!”
