I wonder how well a front wheel drive truck would pull a boat out of a steep, wet boat ramp. In my mind, it doesn’t seem like a great combination.
-
It definitely is. Many folks like a dark roast, but it all tastes burnt to me, and I don’t have a particularly sensitive palate.

We buy McCafe at the Dollar Store when it’s on sale. It isn’t great, but drinkable at sale price. I wouldn’t pay full price for it though.

I wasn’t aware of transmission issues, and have yet to see a Ranger (Mazda) with a bad transmission. One of my kids had one that required a quart of oil at every gas fill up (it was worn smack out), yet the transmission still worked like new. All vehicles have weak points. I guess I’ve just been really lucky.

Well, the hollow base pretty much negates the deeper seating. After all, it is the reason for the longer bullet length. The longer bullet will create a slightly greater resistance leaving the bore due to the overall surface area, but since they are of the same weight, I believe this difference will be almost immeasurably small.

We had em for years as fleet trucks at work. I personally drove several from new to trade in (250k). I wouldn’t have hesitated to buy any of them for a daily driver at that point. They required very little work above standard maintenance. Perhaps you just go a lemon, which does occasionally happen with any make/model.

Those Rangers were some great little trucks as well. I can’t believe there isn’t currently a market for a basic, small pickup.

I love those things!

I bought this 02 here on the forum about a decade ago. It is a 4 cylinder, automatic, and has 167k on it now. I think I put an injector in it once, and squirrels have chewed the fuel lines up a couple of times. Short of that, I've changed the oil every 10k, put gas in it, and drove it. It doesn't have much power, gets only about 20mpg, and isn't overly comfortable, but it is boringly reliable, and I've yet to have it stuck. I pull a boat with it just fine. I plan to keep it til it dies, which it may well outlast me. Dad has a 98 model. The speedometer quit working, so I'm unsure of the miles, but it's over 400k. Same thing. Gas and drive. His is a v6 5 speed, and has twice the power mine does. My son had an 03 and drove it for years. Sold it to a buddy and it's still on the road. If he can't tear one up, that's saying something! I've no experience with newer models, but the older ones are amazing.

A Bunn coffee maker makes a big difference too.

I don’t think you’ll see any noticeable difference.

Always liked Community, Hill Bros, or Eight o Clock medium roasts. I’ve had some exotic stuff that was great, but I’m just too tight to buy it regularly. I prefer to grind it as I use it, but the whole bean selection is getting scarce at stores locally.

Right. I’m talking about the same. If electronic funds were shut down and you had no emergency cash, you couldn’t eat or buy gas or anything. I’m not talking about a long term deal, but just a random emergency. Investing involves risk. I’m good with that.

Not funny! -
.gov cannot push a button and seize all of your cash. Your electronic funds can easily be locked if you don’t cooperate.
-
Did you turn them opposing directions? It doesn’t look like you need much to me. Post a pic and let’s see what you’ve got.

Smells like an ATF fishing expedition, huh?

You have 17 grandkids??!!?? Wow!

Congratulations! I can’t think of a better Christmas gift.

What's the best place for 300 savage ammo?
gregintenn replied to lukeh's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Companies usually make a yearly run of obsolete ammo such as this. You have to watch for it to show up, and be prepared to load up on it before everybody beats you to it. Actually, Natchez and Midway shows they both have some in stock, but looking at the prices, I'm sure glad I reload. -
I guess the impending .gov shutdown will nix this plan. Gotta love em!

I'll bet firing a 3" round from that thing would be invigorating.
