My county is now taking applications for this position. Anybody here know anything about being one? I wonder if it would be a worthwhile position to apply for.

I’d be more than happy to share what little knowledge, but I’m probably farther away than you’d like to travel. If not, pm me, and you are more than welcome to come over.

Hell, they have “fact” in the company name. No way they’d lie!

Poll time. We regrettably lost Steelharp to COVID. I hate that. May he Rest In Peace. How many other TGO members have succumbed to this dreadful virus? How many members do we currently have? Let’s do the math here.

Probably couldn’t close the casket lid. Ya’ll remember him being the spokesman for Viagra?

I always wanted to do that for a Christmas card. Wife still hasn’t agreed.

I do not fear Covid. I do fear the government’s response to it.

You’re kidding! That seems like a terrible idea. According to NBC, they have returned for arraignment. -
Neither is superior in my opinion. Both have their advantages. It comes down to personal preference.

If you can produce a plastic stock at half the cost of a wood stock, you don’t advertise it as cheaper; you advertise it as “new and improved”. Weather resistant if you will. It’s just good marketing.

Does anyone shoot or hunt with a Sharps or similar?

He made another sight as well. They must come sighted in for 500 yards or something. Everything from pistol bullets to heavy cast shot about the same point of impact. -

My father bought a Trapdoor Springfield a while back. We’ve been shooting it and working up loads. It shoots surprisingly well, but has a terrible trigger. The antiques are cool and fun to play with at the range, but I learned years ago that if there’s a chance of ever having a very large buck in front of me, I want every advantage I can have. It sure sucks to see a giant whitetail way across the hollow at about dark, and all you have is an old, iron sighted relic. -

Kids should go outside and play. Kids should give/take an azzwhoopin as needed. It’s all part of growing up and learning to deal with people. Deny your kids this and there will be consequences. School faculty who subscribe to the “zero tolerance policy” should be horse whipped and fired. This is typical union laziness and lack of accountability. Usually, when there is a fist fight at school, only only one of the two participants deserves to get punished. A boy needs a father. A boy needs a dog. To grow up without either isn’t good at all. -
I hunt, almost exclusively, with walnut and blued steel. I maintain my firearms, and am not dedicated enough to tough out a prolonged rainstorm. I have never had any issue that would have been solved with stainless steel or polymer.

Baldwin shoots two on movie set, accidental misfire???
gregintenn replied to TennesseeCamper's topic in General Chat
Alec Baldwin, not unlike much of the Hollywood crowd, is a worthless, self serving POS. No matter what you see or hear, do not lose sight of this little fact. -

Nope! They've had their own since they've been big enough to shoot one. Raising a normal kid ain't really that hard if you're willing to put a bit of time and effort in it. -

That ought to be enough BS to fertilize a very large farm. -
Oh great! This chit again.

Heck of a deal if it’s what you’re after! -
Here’s a one shot group I made just this morning. It went in through the shoulder on the far side. Looks like it works!

I think I’ll call this one “hamburger”. A small, tender button buck will be perfect for grinding. Sure was cold this morning!
