  1. I think politics is a verboten topic here. Tread carefully.
  2. I can attest to that.
  3. Inspectors will be arriving shortly.
  4. Same here. My kid is wearing my old Large biker jacket. I've grown.
  5. Lawd, I hope not!!!
  6. What a heckuva first post! Nice deer indeed. Oh yeah...welcome to TGO.
  7. Chris Rock once proclaimed Bob Saget "The whitest man in America". LOL! I always liked Bob. Sad to hear.
  8. I'm holding out for this lovely jewel.
  9. Same here! It’s what makes us guys. What I see is a challenge. With enough swearing, I really think I could get it out. Like you, sometimes that attitude costs me.
  10. I’d put it in a vice and drill it out on my drill press.
  11. I’ve no idea. I just thought it was something to try.
  12. You could try a small dot of glue on the end of an Allen wrench.
  13. There are several ways to go about it, and all of them I am aware of give you a decent chance of marring the finish of your new gun. Since you aren’t hard headed as I am, sending it back is probably a great option. I can’t imagine it’s in there very tight, but then again, I also am not sure how the head twisted off it with so little pressure.
  14. Not sure how the screw broke with virtually no torque, but why not extract what’s left of it and clean up the threads with a tap? Irritating, yes, but not as irritating as a trip to UPS and a two month wait in my opinion.
  15. ^^^Wowzer!!!^^^
  16. 'Tis a Remington Rand 1911a1.
  17. I'll start. Now, let's see yours.
  18. My kids have one each. They ran a lot of ammo through them when they were small. I shot them quite a bit as well.
  19. Ok. Let’s get all the salt off the roads now so I can go back to riding my motorcycle.
  20. You know, we’ve been here 18 years, and I’ve yet to fix a dripping faucet. I didn’t buy really high end fixtures either. They’ve come a long way in that department. I remember the old style with the rubber seals. My wife would crank them down like she was arm wrestling a football player. They got replaced frequently. Seems like I had a tool to remove and replace the seats as well. No idea where that is now.
  21. Then don’t ever shoot a model 52 Smith and Wesson. You’ll be out some serious money! We we’re at my parents’ house and my dad had just bought a 52 Smith. We were out shooting it when my older son, probably 7 or 8 at the time, wandered out there. I asked if he’d like to shoot it, and he said “sure!”. He shot a mag full at a target about 15 yards away and left one enlarged hole. He said “That’s pretty neat.” and went back inside to play with whatever he was playing with. My father and I just stood there and stared at one another.
  22. We did! They were ALL closed!
  23. First time I've ever seen the Dollar Stores closed!
  24. I’m gonna hold out for one chambered in the new 30 Unobtanium cartridge.
