You know, I’ve never tried 44 Specials in my Marlin. I’ll give it a try sometime and see what happens. I have a Rossi, 92 Win copy in 357 mag. It shoots 38 Specials just fine.

What would need reaming? The 44 mag case is simply a longer 44 Special case which is a lengthened 44 Russian case. If the cylinder is long enough, it should already accept a 44 magnum cartridge. Would I fire one in it? NO!!! The sole reason for the lengthened case is to prevent folks from doing so.
