  1. Yeah. I assumed 223, 556, and probably some wonky foreign military headstamp.
  2. I’ve been reloading for 40 years, and still follow published data. I rarely have a problem. I agree that several reloading manuals from different companies are good to have.
  3. The problem is that magnum powders are slower burning, thus harder to reliably ignite, necessitating a magnum primer. Follow reloading manual information and do not try to side step or improvise.
  4. Pawn shop guys aren’t always the most honest folks available. Could be this guy didn’t know what he was talking about. Could be he’s just dishonest. Could be you misunderstood. Nothing illegal here. To be honest, it’s partly on you. New Federal ammunition should be packaged in a Federal box. It’s likely decent ammo.
  5. You got one in your avatar!
  6. Yeah. There are companies that make remanufactured ammo from range brass. These will have varying headstamps. I expect that’s what you have there. If so, it should be safe to shoot. Tennessee Cartridge Company has a website.
  7. Looks like a good buck to me!
  8. I got a recipe!
  9. If you have it deboned and trimmed, you’ve already won the battle and don’t need a butcher.
  10. She got sick right after the second Rona shot. Probably both coincidences, but she’s rarely ever sick.
  11. I’ve never seen the Titans play better.
  12. Wife took a flu shot last week. She’s in bed sick now. I wish she’d tell those folks to “Take This Job and Shove It!”
  13. Not a high end load, but for regular 280 whitetail loads, a 140 grain Sierra stbt atop 51 grains of IMR4350 is my go to.
  14. News to me, but I don’t get to it much anymore.
  15. I’m a free ball cap kind of guy, but I do admire those of you who can pull off this sophisticated look.
  16. It wasn’t a slur. Those boys can run!!! The ones I know are good folks too.
  17. Would the revolver qualify as a “muzzleloader” for the purpose of deer hunting?
  18. Again? Damn, you’re gettin’ old! Is Hartsville on fire, or is it just your birthday candles? Happy birthday.
  19. There’s a fella almost at the end of US231 in Bransford (Sumner County) that processes deer. Do not take this as a recommendation as I do not know him and have never done business with him.
  20. That was a nail biter!
  21. There’s a Harper family down there that just breeds running backs. They’ve been handing the ball off to a Harper much longer than I’ve been alive.
  22. But it feeds 44 mag fine. Hmm. I’ll have to defer to someone more knowledgeable than me.
  23. Last time I got a Fed Ex package, it was delivered by a sure enough stoner in a U Haul truck. I’m not complaining, because I got my package, but I was damned surprised he was able to find our place.
  24. After being down at halftime, 20-7, Macon County came back last night for a 28-26 win against Chattanooga Central! They’ll be headed to Red Bank next Friday night for the second round playoff game. Go Tigers!!!
