  1. I would recommend an old, pinned and recessed Model 28 Smith and Wesson (Highway Patrolman). If your budget allows, go for the glitzier model 27.
  2. It isn’t always pretty, but the Titans keep getting it done…even without King Henry.
  3. Better for what purpose?
  4. If inflation proves to be transitory as is reported, will you revert back to the old rule?
  5. No. Listened on the radio. That Hartsville game must have been a good one.
  6. Macon County is scheduled to play Red Bank in Chattanooga tonight if they ever get there…bus broke down. LOL …and we’re getting killed!
  7. I’ve never been able to call one. They sure can’t resist seeing me sitting in a deer stand, however.
  8. Wrong forum! Could a moderator please move this to the Hunting and Fishing subforum?
  9. It is technically "factory" ammunition. I'd shoot it.
  10. My father has built some smokeless muzzleoaders. From what I've seen, I'd say the sky is the limit as long as the shooter is capable.
  11. Technically, it is not a muzzleloader, as you do not load it from the muzzle, but from the front of the cylinder. I'm not trying to be obstinate, but have always wondered about that. I once saw a guy shoot a deer with a Colt Navy replica. I didn't figure it was legal, bur never knew for sure.
  12. Show us what you've bagged! So far, this is all I got. Weather lady said it wouldn't be windy today...she's a liar.
  13. Which makes it worse. I understand though.
  14. They tell me it’s like pizzing a cocklebur. I’d be happy to just take someone’s word on that. Ouch!
  15. A buddy had one on a cruise ship while on his honeymoon.
  16. Bump to the top!
  17. Man! I keep seeing this thread and thinking it is in the For Sale section and not the Show and Tell section.
  18. I’ve always heard you don’t want one. Best wishes on passing it fast.
  19. Erik says it’s good, so I’m not worried.
  20. I don’t buy ammo except for rimfire. It is sealed in the box.
  21. Also know that just as it is important to not exceed published maximum loads, they also publish minimum loads for a reason. Going below these can cause serious problems as well. While the information in old manuals doesn’t really go out of date, adding an updated version occasionally is handy so you can take advantage of newer powders and projectiles.
  22. I find they run the gamut from shouldn’t have a gun to expert marksman just like the general population.
  23. Did you read the rest of the posts carefully? Perhaps English is a second language? I dunno. My wife recently showed me a local guy on Facebook whining because a local pawn shop sold him a motorcycle as a Harley Davidson, and he later somehow discovered it was a Suzuki. If you don’t know the difference, are you really ready to buy one?
  24. The base looks smaller because that round is further from the camera than the other two. I’m pretty sure I can make out 223 REM on it.
