I've carried both, and I think both have their strengths. I like the XD for the ergonomics, trigger, and capacity, but I like the G26 because (and this might be my imagination) it's a tiny bit easier to conceal, I like that it has fewer parts than the XD, and I'm a little bit more accurate with the G26. Honestly - I would carry either one, both are excellent guns. And for me, it seriously came down to which one I could find in stock first. I had a hard time finding either in stock for about 4 weeks. I ended up seeing a G26 in stock and I just nabbed it. Again, can't go wrong with the XD, it's an amazing gun.

Awesome. Thanks Bkelm18. Another random question. I've only had experience with SAO and DAO triggers. On a SAO trigger you have to pull the trigger and gently let the hammer down with your thumb to decock. Does it work the same way with SA/DA triggers? Also, would I be able to decock and let the hammer fall hard without firing a round?

For you Sig guys out there. I've been an XD guy for quite some time now, but I've started looking into Sigs. I just really like the look of them. Is there any Sig pistol that is around the same size as the XD sub compact? I need it in 9mm. I've also been looking at the Kahr PM9 but it just doesn't seem like it's worth the price tag. Any feedback on those?

Isn't there any flights from Columbia or Venezuela to Bonaire? I can't give you the knowledge you seek, but if you stick in the touristy parts of Quito, most people speak English. Don't try to get away with sleeping at the airport. You're going to get jacked. Just spend the money and stay at a Hilton or some other nice hotel. Don't leave the touristy area, because, again, you're going to get jacked. And last, it's South America. Not Central America. Which means, it's summer time there, and the toilet flushes the other way. Hope you have fun in Bonaire though!

This is one of my biggest pet peeves. I know it's just TV but damn it annoys the hell out of me to see gun play on TV. The absolute worst for me is on that show "Numb3rs". When entering a house the FBI agent with a pistol goes in first, and then all the guys with body armor, and short barreled rifles go in second.
