Thanks for the information. I’m looking around Dekalb County at the moment, but I’m not tied to any particular county or area yet. I shoot a mix of suppressed and unsuppressed, but an AR15 or anything like that is loud suppressed or not, and muzzleloaders I don’t suppress at all. Rough guess I’d say that I shoot about 75% or more days suppressed, and if I had the land I’d probably shoot 3-5 times a week.

I’m in the process of looking for land to both build upon and to have my own place to shoot. I currently live in Rutherford County just barely outside of Murfreesboro city limits, but this area is far too expensive to buy a decent sized piece of land. So what if any laws does TN have about shooting on private land? How much land do I need to own, or is there a limit? What about proximity to roads or other houses? I shoot suppressed often, but unsuppressed at times as well, and as anyone k owns that’s shot an AR15 with a suppressor, they’re still loud.
