  1. Because are evil. Let's be honest, anti-gun crap has nothing to do with any kind of logic, only emotion.
  2.     Sorry, but I am still, "huh?" With the law as is right now or if we eliminated 1359, cops would still have to be called to make anything even remotely stick. With trespassing, in my understanding, you don't have to confront a person before calling the cops. You can call the cops and they can come tell the person they need to leave. Under either law you can make a "sneaky phone call."
  3.     Huh? If we dropped -1359, trespassing laws would only come into effect in a business open to the public if you were asked to leave and refused. Plus, the trespassing law is already in effect right now anyway. If you walk past a sign right now and refused to leave they could hit you for trespassing and -1359 right now. I don't see how it's not anything but better to drop the posting law...especially since it doesn't meet the constitutional requirement of preventing crime. The state also might end up like GA and FL where almost no buildings are posted because there's no posting law.
  4. Is it bad that I kinda wish he had passed away Christmas eve? How epic would have that been?
  5. I feel like I end up posting this about once a month, but I want to remind everyone of just what power the legislature has according to our state constitution when it comes to restricting the carrying of weapons. They can only write laws that restrict carry "with a view to prevent crime." There is no way that 1359 is preventing a single crime, plus the legislature isn't allowed the power to give such posting power to business owners as it says only the legislature can restrict (and posting ability gives it to business owners instead.) I would love to make a hidden video confronting businesses that post and find out why they post. Considering what I've seen posted here before, I would bet that 100% would say it's because they,  or customers are uncomfortable with firearms and not to prevent crime.
  6.   Wow, that's crazy. I did 28 flights last year all over the country and that's really not much compared to a lot of the people on planes with me. I did the TSA Pre Check and as long as I am flying on one of the major airlines, I can pretty much walk through security like it was pre Sept 11. It's actually kinda scary because I am sure a ton of people who would like to do others harm could pass pre check and pretty much walk through with anything they want.
  7.     You are assuming that they are actually doing security when in reality it's just a show and they miss most weapons that pass through.
  8.     Just ask the late President Reagan about how you can be surrounded by well trained, armed men and still get shot...
  9.     So just discovered this. With the KNS redesign they now allow so many free articles per month or something. However, you can read the article around the pop up easily if you've used up all your articles...or you can go into your web browser and just delete the cookies for knoxnews.com and reset your article reads whenever you want. Yep, the morons at KNS are so stupid that they designed it so their protected site is not really protected at all.
  10.     Or you could just remove the section entirely because trespass law already covers this.
  11. I would love to take out an ad in the KNS that says, "Hey Chief Rausch, what part of "but the Legislature shall have power, by law, to regulate the wearing of arms with a view to prevent crime." don't you understand? It doesn't mention being able to restrict just because there are cops there.
  12. If you don't mind reading two lines at a time you can read the whole article
  13.   Except I believe the law says it's about being in business is what's illegal without a FFL. So there is a metric to judge by. Now, does Obama care about the law? No.
  14. Consider this, the courts have long held that restrictions on firearms are only legal if they help reduce crime/kepp the public safe. But I think we would all agree that background checks don't stop a single crime or keep the public safe. So how can background checks be constitutional if they don't stop any crime?
  15. Ahh gotcha. I didn't read the link, so that makes sense.
  16. How many shooters in the last year, let alone the last 5 years would have been stopped by this? I am guessing as many as universal background checks would have stopped (zero). But it's not about actually doing things that would stop criminals...
  17. This article brings up an interesting point, http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2016/01/foghorn/obamas-executive-action-on-guns-my-prediction/   "The Act mandated that anyone “in the business” of buying and selling guns required a license from the federal government." I think that's the key. I forgot about that part and that would make it hard to put an exact number on the number of guns  because it's not about the amount, it's about if you are making a living from it. Obama can't get around that with an EO, though I really wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't just ignore it.
  18. Here's what I am wondering...does Obama have the balls to just do a blatantly unconstitutional EO and ban all transfers except through FFL's so it's stuck in the courts for months to possibly years? Heck, what does he really have to lose? He wins support from the morons for at least months, if not years/forever (remember, they are morons, reality and facts don't matter to them) and then the EO gets smacked down by the courts. Or it could possibly get approved by the courts. The obamacare ruling should have never happened, but it did, so we can't really count on the courts to rule what the constitution clearly says.... Just some scary thoughts unfortunately.....
  19. Huh? Your numbers don't match up with the list in the OP. For example, your #11 is about driving, while #11 in the OP was about abortion. Are your numbers supposed to line up or is there something else they are referring to that I don't get?

    Tv Shows

Blacklist is great. Limitless is fun Muppets is funny if you like shows like The Office
  21. Honestly, if Obama was going to do an EO like this, wouldn't he have already? I feel like this is just fear mongering because King Obama is so impatient about stuff, why would he wait to do such an EO. He would have done this years ago if he could.
  22. M&P22 compact. Got it at the beginning of Dec, but it's my christmas gift from my wife. Great little .22lr pistol. Using it to practice with since it's the same size as my Rugar SR9c and functions the same way.  Heck, even my almost 5 year old girls are able to fire it with just a little help from daddy.
  23. Hey, what a great surprise for Christmas! It's not as much as a surprise as finding out recently my wife is pregnant with our second set of twins...
  24. Here's the stupid part... Open carry will still be legal there without a permit. This is political, nothing to do with safety.
  25. I just got the M&P22c pistol a few weeks ago and really like it. Has a decent trigger, is pretty much the same size as my carry gun (Ruger SR9c), and is pretty accurate. Go for it. It's like having an entire year's set of baseball cards...only far more fun.
