Two different places. The pub is in South Carolina and the Pit is in NC.

Just go buy a screw exactor set and get the right tool for the job. They are $10 or less at Lowes or Home Depot.

Never Thought I'd See Wally Not Being Cheapest ...
macville replied to Oh Shoot's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Over .30 a round? Your walmart is jacking you. I could have gotten .223 Tula last week for $5.49/box, .28 a round. Or are you counting sales tax too. And if you are getting it for cheaper online, where? Because I haven't seen it any cheaper than that online when you count in shipping. -
Or a better idea is to use the code lock built into almost all GPS's. That way all they really get is a light brick of plastic and circuit board.

I know some of the guys who shoot that show through my work (video production) and they don't really have anything nice to say about them. While there is made up drama for TV, I think there is plenty of other drama at that place.

Hey guys, I wanted to show you the new Glock G41 Gen 4 commercial I shot in Atlanta last month. It finally was released yesterday in connection with the NRA convention. Hope you guys like it as I am very proud of it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUk-HRNsP5g Matthew

Speaking of Park Carry - Knoxville
macville replied to Oh Shoot's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
No. When the Gov signs it becomes a law. So the second he signs it the City of Knoxville will have opt out of Park carry. So I figure it will be legal for at least a week unless we go down and really fight the city council. -
Speaking of Park Carry - Knoxville
macville replied to Oh Shoot's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I think that means it doesn't strike down the current STATE law on parks. Although, it really only matters what's actually in the text of the law, not what they say it means. We've seen laws (like last year's safe commute law) recently that they say it does one thing, and the actual text says something else. -
That what we conservatives/libertarians want...but those kind of people don't vote Dem, so why would they want them to come here legally????

Tennessee gun free dining site works both ways:
macville replied to Randall53's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Are you going post on this at some point..."you all do understand that I mean I won't visit place that don't allow carry, right?" -
Everything weapons will never see a dime from me.
macville replied to gunbartender's topic in General Chat
What gunshops have you been in? Every gun shop I have ever been in has had every employee OC'ing. It would be odd to me to walk in and not see an employee carrying! -
URGENT - Permit-less Car Carry in the Senate Tomorrow
macville replied to wk05's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Because then it would be far to easy to make your case and why would you need a lawyer? It's self protection at it's best. I would love to ban lawyers and bankers from politics. If we did, it would be an actually honest ballgame. -
Huh?

You all are killing me. All these 120 and 240hz models take the intended look of stuff and make it look like a soap opera. Turn on the high hz for sports, but everything else please please please turn it off if you want to view it the way the content creator shot it.

How about we compromise and have the entire country shift a half hour and leave it at that?

The problem is that the law doesn't say school children, it referees to anything that qualifies as a "school" in TN. That includes college. Heck, it probably could include homeschool for some strange reason if a cop got his panties in a wad. That's why we need to go after "with a view to prevent crime" and get the laws ruled unconstitutional. Because we can't trust the republicans in charge to fix it.

A Case for the Full-Size 9mm Handgun
macville replied to daddyo's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
When was the last time you saw a self defense shootout happen at 50 yards? Heck, 25 yards is a pretty decent distance too, but my SR9c can nail a target with 1 MOA less accuracy (and that's probably me, not the actual gun) than my full size 9mm. I would be more concerned about amount of ammo than I would be about barrel length. -
Yeah, but the KNS has been known to misrepresent what people say. He might have been against amendments or some crap and they take that as the whole bill.
-
The good thing is it's very unlikely to hold up to a court challenge. We really need to sue over the fact that school carry restrictions are unconstitutional due to that preventing can not be proven to prevent crime. If we've gone out of our way to prove we are not criminals by getting permits, then it can't be assumed that preventing us from carrying at a school is going to prevent any crime.
-
What amendments did they pass in the senate?
-
And the Knoxville News Sentinel said that Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett was against the bill. Does anyone know anything about that? I find that VERY hard to believe.

Unfortunately, some of us got into the game a little late and don't have a ton of money to buy ammo. I got into guns around when "the King" came into office, not because of him, but because I inherited my grandfathers guns. At that point ammo was not only going up in price, but not on the shelves. $8.99 was the going price for Blazer or AE 9mm/50 brass at wal-mart. Now they are $15/box if you can find them. But I got what I could when I could afford it. But .22lr was never an issue during that period or any issue until just over a year ago. My problem is that considering there's never been a run on .22lr before, who would have thought there would be this time? Instead of buying .22 I had been slowly buying 9mm and .308. Now a year later I've been sitting on one box of 500 that's not full and it sucks. I am pretty much at the point this spring of just shooting the box at will and just being without ammo for my .22's. I haven't shot any in over year because of it, so it's like not having any anyway.

Please tell me what stores online you are using? All the ones I've see are more expensive than Wal-Mart or Academy. Heck, Academy had the cheapest .223 by far at $5.99/20 for Tula Steel case. Can't find ANYWHERE that's cheaper than that. Of course, I gotta get an upper for my lower first:)

Also, if they did playgrounds, would this not make many parks that are currently legal (knox county for one) illegal?
-
If they really mean "around children" by having a playground or anything, it makes the law pointless for me. If I am at a park, I am there with my kids, which means we are at the playground. I think what they actually mean is school events..basically clarifying the AG's opinion about schools kids making the park off limits. However, if that's what they do put down, it's ripe for a lawsuit as it's WAY too vague to pass Constitutional muster. How am I supposed to know in most parks if schools kids are there? There's also the reason to sue that the current law having ANY restrictions is unconstitutional because it can not be proven to actually prevent crime. Heck, I think our permits fall under that since they have no way to stop people from carrying without a permit, therefore it can't prevent crime.
