Those two probably could have passed a BG check though...

Merry Christmas!

There is a G2 version of my pistol, and since it's full size anyway, I don't mind getting a new pistol if they do send one. Honestly, if the issue was just about pulling the trigger while the safety is on, I wouldn't bother really. But the fact that the drop safety is an issue makes me want to send it back. I am not a butterfingers, but I have dropped a pistol before.

So does anyone know how to send a pistol back for repair or replacement? I have a 24/7 Pro DS I bought in 2008 that I don't want to trade in for $200 (or less!) but I do want it repaired or replaced by Taurus.

The problem now is that you've got 39lbs of TURKEY. Call me when it's 39lbs of beef or chicken.

Pending Gun EO Chatter, Update See Post #114
macville replied to runco's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
And how exactly is that going to be constitutional. Selling to my neighbor doesn't exactly cross state lines and therefore fall under the governments skewed view of the commerce clause. Honestly, if he was going to do an EO like this, it would have happened a long time ago. -
Considering his other opinions I doubt it will be in Nashville's favor

I've got a saddleback leather and like it. I've had it for at least 4 years and it still looks brand new. Of course, it costs a pretty penny.

I second a 20ga. Much cheaper and really not much more punch than a 410. Plus, 20ga is cheaper and much easier to hit stuff with.

SCOTUS and gay marriage and the 2nd Amendment
macville replied to RED333's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I've been saying this since the ruling came down as it seems like a pretty "duh" reasoning line to me. Of course, it's kinda sad that we are having to use another amendment to try and get the 2d amendment applied like how it's actually written. -
I am totally flying out to the land of In-n-out today and will sometime in the next few days enjoy a double-double animal style.

So I went to discount tire and got tires this morning. Was pretty impressed with the whole experience. It was certainly miles better than sams club, and at a better price. At 10:00 AM was able to get in and out with new tires in under 40 minutes. That's pretty fast in my book considering it included filling out paperwork. The only thing I have a question about is that I didn't get any paperwork for doing the rebates. There is a $75 one on my tires for black friday and it's listed on my invoice as "Multi-level rebate online/mail-in 11/27/15-11/30/15" but it doesn't give any more info than that and no other docs were included. There's no other info on their website other than that there are black friday rebates. There was also $60 rebate if I used my DT credit card, which I opened an account while at the store. Does anyone know if this is an auto rebate, or do I have to fill out stuff for it?

Anyone had any issues with getting the rebate back from discount tire? I am looking at taking advantage of their $75 back when you buy 4, and $60 rebate from their credit card offer for Black Friday. Since Sams Club won't match them (due to DT not giving out paper quotes), I have to go through a little hassle at DT, but it will save over $50. Plus, I don't have to deal with Sams Club tire center (calling them slow would be far to generous.)

We do. The stove is in a room with a 12ft ceiling which opens directly to the kitchen with a 10ft ceiling and on the other side to the living room with an 8ft ceiling. The living room is where our bedroom door is. So the problem is, while the living room is nice and warm, unless I use a fan other than the ceiling, no air really gets into the bedroom:(

So with winter finally moving in, I am burning my wood stove again to heat the house. Due to the design of my house, I have to use fans to move the warm air around or otherwise our bedroom would stay at 50F-55F all winter. Last year I used a box fan on the floor to move the air, but I am wondering about buying a pedestal fan this year. The logic in my head is that the pedestal fan is moving air which is 2-3ft higher off the ground, therefore moving more warm air. Obviously, the air at the ceiling (8ft) is warmer than at ground level, but is 2-3ft higher in the air over a regular box fan going to make that much difference in the air I am pushing? The fan would be also moving air 5ft of unheated tile on a slab, so I am wondering if at lower levels, the air is cooling rapidly as it goes across before entering the bedroom. Wasn't sure if may the 2-3ft might make a big difference because of that fact.

anybody use Medishare or Samaritan in place of health insurance?
macville replied to seez52's topic in General Chat
You can't smoke, but you can drink (but not abuse). I have been a member for 10 years now and it's worked well for my family. We don't run to the doctor for every little thing like many people and have very few accidents that need care. I think we've been to the doctor for stuff maybe 8 times in the last 10 years (4 1/2 of those years being with twin daughters.) -
Strange, I am a lifer and I hardly get anything from them.

My wife's phone beeped last night and when I looked at the news later, they had been found before the alert was even sent out. Government efficiency at it's best...

Wow, that's better than TN for a knife law. We don't allow any knife unless it's "tools used solely for preparation of food, instruction and maintenance." Of course, this is probably the most broken law at schools. Heck, you can have a firearm in car, but the law doesn't allow for a knife in your car. Kinda stupid isn't it?

Installing Air Lift Loader Lifter 5000 on F150 without removing tires?
macville replied to macville's topic in General Chat
At that point, I think it'd be just as easy to bring both to the same PSI on different inputs. I'd rather not have to reach underneath my truck to open and close a valve. -

That makes total sense. I may try switching it out to see if that changes anything. I only did the t because a lot of people online suggested it. -
Installing Air Lift Loader Lifter 5000 on F150 without removing tires?

Well the first part of the instructions show jacking up and putting the axle on a jack stand.... Then, it says, while the axle is on the jack stand, to jack up the frame to give you room to install the lift bags. I really don't think it's that safe to be under the truck like you have to be if the wheel is off, the axle is on a jack stand and then the frame is jacked up. But maybe I am just too careful:)
