  1. I have a similar way to record what I buy, sell or trade. I have a book with the gun serial #in question, when I got it, when I sold it, and the phone numbers of buyers, or sellers. Sometimes even the license plate #. I see it this way. If something I sold turned up stolen, or used in a crime, it might come back to me. (Because you never know if the guy that sold it or bought it keeps records also-lol). So I want some info to show where it came from. I will also do an occasional BOS if its something I bought at a dealer and filled out paperwork.
  2. Many have commented in this thread about how dumb it was to sell their, lets say 1966 Mustang or (insert your older cars here-lol) for $900 because they are worth so much today. But lets not forget, thats just what those cars sold for back in the day. I sold my 1967 Chevelle for $1200 in about 1974 or 75. Bought a 1970 Chevelle 454 for $1500. Drove that car into the ground and probably got less than that for it-lol. But, that was a lot of money for a high school kid working part time after school for $3.50/hr. Its all relative. Same as gun prices. Hell, I bought a new Smith 37 nickel for around $200, and a Colt Mustang Pocketlite for about the same. Still have them actually.
  3. Yea I meant it was the first car I ever had with A/C. My father had a '64 or 65 Caddy convertible with A/C, coolest car ever-lol.
  4. Well, mt first car was a '67 Chevelle SS. Next I had a '70 Chevelle SS 454. After that a real nice '69 Cutlass Supreme. And a sweet '69 Gran Sport. It was an auto, but had all power. Doors, windows, and A/C. It was first car with A/C.

  13. Ah, the Canik-lol. Got the SFX Blackout model in a trade last year. Had it a few weeks, then finally took it out in the back to shoot it. Probably the best shooting gun I ever had. Like you said, made me look like I know what I'm doing-lol. One big ragged hole. Ended up trading it again, but recently picked up another with a Swamp Fox red dot. This one's a shooter also.

  20. Same thing happened to me a few years back at a casino. But the guy wouldnt let me in with it. So I walked around looking for a good place to hide it for a few hours. After the show I went back and it was gone. I'Il bet that security guy watched where I went-lol. Got himself a free knife.
  21. As much as I love my 1911's and Sigs and CZ hammer guns, for carry I use several Kahrs. Striker fired, and each trigger pull is the same DA but super smooth pull P380 in summer, PM9 when I have more clothes on-lol. Recently bought a Sig P365 (with safety) to carry and I'm just starting to transfer over to that. I'm figuring the extra rounds cant hurt. Its the same size as the PM9, and uses the same Crossbreed IWB holster.
  22. Yea, the only time I open carry is when out hiking, or doing trail work.
