Back when I lived in CT and had my FFL, I had bought a Model 37 nickel, the airweight. The trigger was very notchy, it was bad enough that I sent it back to them to look at. When I got it back, not only was it super smooth but it felt like they gave it a nice trigger job, the ppull felt a lot lighter. But the best part was, they polished, or buffed out the gun and it came back looking like polished stainless. Glad to hear the company is still taking care of its customers. And I still have that revolver.

So here is something I dont really understand about a de-cocker. All my CZ's (and others) are the safety models, and I just lower the hammer by hand if I want to de-cock it. But I still have the safety to use. With the de-cocker models, thats all you have. I feel like I'm getting more for my money-lol.

I like the Kahr guns. DAO so the trigger is heavy but VERY smooth.

My first CZ was a PCR about 10-12 years ago. Got it in a trade, so I dont know what work had been done to it. I didnt even know about Cajun and CZC back then. What I DO know, I shot it with my son one day, and also brought my Sig P226 Legion. That PCR shot circles around the Sig. After that I've been a CZ fan. I always wished I kept that PCR. Ive had 2 since then, but both stock and neither shot as well as that first one.

I will say this about private sales. I moved here from Connecticut 4 yrs ago. In CT, private sales are only allowed between permit holders (well, legally). However, anytime someone would ask me to sell them a gun without having a permit, I'd always think this could be a set-up by PD or ATF and I never did it. Not to say others might have, but it wasnt worth the risk. Some guys were pretty persistent-lol. Saying they had applied for the permit but it wasnt in yet, and/or offering several hundred more than my asking price. We have it good here in TN by the way. In CT to do a private sale, both parties have to call the State Police with their permit #'s while they are together doing the buy, or swap. (And sometimes the lines are very busy, or even down. One guy wouldnt do a deal with me because we couldnt get thru) You are assigned a transaction # which goes on the paperwork that has to get sent to the local PD of the buyer, and seller, and another copy to the State Police. God I love TN-lol.

Theres one now on Armslist in the Tri-Cities. He wants top dollar for it though.

Another vote for the KORE belt. Its a ratchet belt, so small adjustments are easy and fast. And they come very long, made to cut to size yourself. You could keep it long and cut as you need. Plus, as you cut it, you are using a new section so the ratchets dont wear out. I dont even use the gun belt, just their regular belt. Which works great for a 380 and 9mm. Just got a new one actually, the first lasted 5 years and they are only about $40.

Here is a big reason for this problem. There are no consequences for breaking the law anymore. Maybe a slap on the wrist.

I have loaded guns in the house also, even when I'm not home. They are accessible but still well hidden. I figure houses are less apt to be broken into than a car, and once a car is broken into there really arent any places in the car that a gun wont be found. A 'smash and grab' can be done in a few seconds. It would take someone quite a while to find any guns in my house, if at all. My intention was not to blame the car owner.

I never leave anything of value in my car overnight. Even locking it doesnt deter a criminal who is intent on getting in. And a loaded gun in the car? Irresponsible if you ask me. Even an unloaded gun. You wouldnt leave a loaded gun in the house if you didnt want an unwanted person to find it (kids, guests etc) so why do it in your car? And believe me, I hate thieves. Lowest of the low. A nice thing about not having valuables in my truck, is that when I go into a store I can leave the windows open in the parking lot, and not come back to an oven-lol.

I know this is an older topic re-visited, but heres my opinion. Good belt and holster are key. I use a KORE ratcheting belt, but not their gun belt which is heavier. But I also carry a Kahr P380 or PM9 (not big or heavy) in a Crossbreed IWB, set down low so the grip is just above the belt level. I can move around and even bend over and my wife says the gun is not visible even when she looks for it. My other trick is wearing t-shirts with polyester, like the shirts I wear when mountain biking. The are kinda 'slippery' and dont hang up on the gun or holster. They are also a bit cooler in the summer.

Damn, I'm looking for one of these. But I live between Johnson City and Greeneville.

Now thats some funny s**t right there-lol A good buddy Moved to Montana 10 years ago, when we hiked he carried a Ruger Alaskan 44 in a chest rig, his wife carried the biggest bottle of bear spray I've ever seen. Like a bicycle water bottle. I just made sure I stayed close to one of them.

This is exactly why I spent $4k last year to have my trans rebuilt on my 2001 Silverado. I also just found brake rotors on Amazon for about half of what the auto parts stores get for them. I bought 4 AC Delco rotors for about$130. Should be here today or tomorrow.

Currently have a line up of a Sig P365, Hellcat, Kahr PM9 and a Kahr P380. I keep going back to the Kahrs though. They just a bit slimmer and more comfortable because of the single stack. Crossbreed IWB. I also notice the extra weight of 5 more rounds in the guns. P365 and Hellcat both have safeties. Try finding one of those for sale-lol

I went the other way. Driving a 2001 Silverado 1500, and last year the tranny went. Went looking at new trucks and damn near passed out when I saw the prices. Since mine ran well and I have maintained it I ended up biting the bullet and having the trans rebuilt. Yea it has 180k on it and its rusting apart, but I'm hoping it runs for a another few years til the prices come back to normal. Plus, its my 2nd vehicle. I recently bought a new Jetta to run around in since it gets 40mpg, and trade in prices are really high now. I got double for my 2012 Mazda3 than I thought I would. Funny thing is, back in 2020 I almost bought a leftover Silverado for $10k off. I didnt like the color and figured I'd wait another year. Then Covid hit. Story of my life-lol.

Selling my Sig P228. has 2 mags and a Sig Sauer box. The sides have some holster wear, though the bore is good and the gun shoots great $750 in the Tri Cities area

Well, at my age I dont ride fast in the woods. Its more like exploring. I dont need a fancy suspension. The DRZ was great for that, but it sucked on the road getting there. Plus the DR is lower, I can touch the ground with both feet. I just think that for what I will be doing, this DR will be a great replacement for the other 2 bikes.

2 weeks ago sold my Triumph Tiger 800 and DRZ400, and just picked up a DR650. talk about a 1 bike quiver-lol. Its not bad on the road, hell I cant even shift into 5th til I'm doing 60. But I'm going down a tooth in the front so that might change a bit. Took it in the woods on Thurs, nothing super hard but it did great. SO much lighter than the Tiger in the woods, and not much heavier than the DRZ. With a few changes (gearing, better seat and lower pegs) this will be a do-it-all bike for me. Wish I did this years ago. And the funny thing is, when I started getting into ADV bikes 10-12 years ago I started with a DR650. But I was always looking for something better. Had a Husky TE610, KTM 525EXC, Husky 650 Terra (great bike), BMW 800GS, and the Tiger 800XC. All had their pro's and con's. But the DR does everything OK, so it will be a keeper (for now-lol)

Well I guess I'd have to try it. We visit family in Lebanon once a month or so, next time out there I'll get in touch. Where in Nashville are you?
