I bought a new Smith 37 Nickel Airweight back in the 80's. The trigger was awful, but it was also doing this weird thing which I forget what it was. I sent it back, and not only did it come back to me with a super smooth trigger pull but they gave it a high polish also. Still have it.

If you are comfortable with your Walther 22, you can try a Walther PPK/S in 380 EDIT- I see you have a Walther P22, I was thinking PPK 22, so,never mind-lol. Actually a Walther PPS might be another gun to look at. I dont know this for sure, but since Smith and Wesson bought Walther, I heard that gun is very similar to a Shield. As far as belts and holsters I agree 100% you need something good. For smaller guns like my Kahr or 365 I use a Kore ratcheting belt (not even their gun belt) and a Crossbreed Mini-Tuck IWB. And I always buy the horsehide, not the cowhide. They say its better for sweat, but I have found because its about half the thickness, its more comfortable. My 2nd choice is an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck. A little more bulky, takes a bit more time to put on, but very comfortable because of the padding.

As far as a dealership goes, I went to one in Bristol to test drive a car. I liked it, but they played the usual money games. Sticker was higher than the online ad, their offer for my trade in was ridiculous, etc. So I searched online for the same car. Found one in Knoxville, but they said it was incoming and still on a ship. I figured that was a line of BS, but sure enough it came in when they said it would. When I drove there with my trade in, they gave me a really fair amount for it. The entire transaction had no pressure, even the money guy that tried to sell me an extended warranty, and the paint protection etc. When I said no, he said OK, but that he had to try-lol. Overall the experience was one of the best car buying experiences I ever had. So a shout out to Harper VW in Knoxville

I kinda like this idea. Obviously you wont get rich, but maybe something for a retired guy to keep busy and make a few bucks? Maybe do a few at the same time to make it worth it. And yea, JC to Memphis would be a bummer. My concern is: would you as the delivery guy be responsible for making sure the buyer, and/or seller is legal? On the one hand, its legal for the seller or buyer to make the trip. Too bad laws and politics will be involved with this.

Evo was a good motor The twin cams were good also, and not every year had the cam chain issue. My "02 didnt, so maybe it was the later years? Plus, most of mine were fuel injected, but never had a issue with the FI system. In 2017 I sold a '10 Ultra Classic that I put 72,000 on and it still ran great. Never had anything but maybe 2 minor issues. My '02 Deuce went 40,000 without any issues at all. Bought a used bike this time instead of new ('12 Road Glide Ultra) and I let the other guy take the hit in cash-lol My point is I'm a fan of the twin cams

To me, all those places like Carvana charge too damn much. I agree about 'tire kicking', I wanna see it in person. Last year I was in the market for a 'newer' used car that was good on gas and I could drive that around for errands instead of my Silverado. What I found was that used car prices are crazy high, and they only warranty them for a month or 2 at best. For not much more money I bought a new car, have a 36000 mi warranty, and a lifetime drivetrain warranty (to the original owner). Works for me since I keep a vehicle a long time. My Silverado is an '01-lol

Not sure if this helps, but after carrying a P365, I went back to my Kahr PM9. The single stack makes it just a bit slimmer than the 365, Shield Plus or Hellcat. And having 4-5 rounds less is noticeable in weight. And you already have the CZ for cooler weather when wearing more clothes. I say this because I have a 'thing' about printing.

Along these lines, I'm wondering if anyone else on here has gotten an email from the ATF in response to any 'for sale' ads? I have an ad for a gun in the 'E-Classfieds', an Eastman buy/sell/trade site here in E TN. Been trying to sell it for a awhile and every few weeks I put the ad back up for a few days. Got an email from a Hank Schrader of the ATF telling me of the penalties for selling guns without a license etc. I'm wondering if someone sees my ads and thinks they are for all different guns? I responded to the email, and they told me to contact my local office. Its in Greeneville, but I havent tried calling them yet. I'm assuming they arent singling me out since I dont sell that many guns-lol. I see plenty of the same names on the 'for sale' sites all the time, those folks are selling a lot more guns than me.

Yes I do have a modest pension from there. Not that long ago cops and firefighters were allowed to use their overtime and sick time buyout to inflate the pensions by quite a lot, but that was stopped before I retired. Story of my life-lol. Actually some of my buddies tell me the welfare is so good there now, that if you are collecting from all of the different programs available, its like making more than our pensions.

I'll say this about sales tax. I think TN has the right idea with their higher sales tax. Back in CT, sales tax was low but all the other taxes were high. At least here, even people visiting, or just driving thru are helping to pay the state. Its not just on the shoulders of the homeowners like many other states. And, I know y'all like to bitch about rich,liberal people moving here, raising the real estate prices etc. But try not to lump all of us together. I was a firefighter in CT, definitely not a job to have if you want to get rich. CT is like most other states, where the cities are liberal but the outlying rural areas are not. Me and all my friends are conservative, gun loving, hunters, hard working folks just like you. I moved here to get away from those winters. Not to try to change the political climate here. And most of the folks I have met here are the same. I know more liberals that are locals than I do folks that recently moved here.

Well, 5 years ago when I retired, I moved to E TN to get away from commie Connecticut. In a small town between Greeneville and Johnson City where most of my neighbors are cows. They recently built a handful of houses down the road, but I still shoot in my backyard.

I went thru this about 2 years ago. My dentist had a sub working that week, but he got me in that first day, just to do nothing for me. Told me to take aspirin. 2 days later it was killing me, had to sleep in a chair cuz laying down made it a lot worse. Finally found an 'emergency' weekend dental clinic in Johnson City, but they dont pull teeth-lol. At least they gave me some antibiotics and pain meds. The dentist at the clinic offered to have me come in to her own private practice where she pulled the tooth and stopped the pain-lol. And she is still my dentist now. But why is it these days that a dentist will send you to a different guy to pull a tooth? Is that like Dentristry 101?

I'm in the same boat. Actually, there are some guns I buy that I'd prefer be fired, because I'd probably never shoot them-lol. Like if I think it might be collectable in the future. A few years ago I bought a new CZ97B, and didnt shoot it right away. Now they are discontinued and scarce and I wont shoot it, figuring its worth more. Looking for a used one, but folks want more for a used one that I paid for a new one. One thing I see often in a gun ad, but dont understand, is where folks will say the gun has been carried, but never fired. God bless you to trust that gun without ever shooting it. I like to do 400-500 rounds thru the gun first, with the last 100 or so being HP and some actual carry ammo. Which is why I dont change carry guns too often-lol. Have only bought guns from TGO folks a few times, its mostly Armslist or E-Classifieds. But I gotta say, 99% of my transactions have gone smoothly and have met some great folks. And the guns are usually in the condition that they were described.

I used to think that there was always something better-lol. Smaller, lighter, more rounds etc. Sig P365, SA Hellcat, Sig P938, CZ PCR , Keltec 380, etc etc etc. Now its 2 Kahrs, a PM9 and a P380 depending on what I'm wearing. They both hold 8 rounds with Mag-guts spring kits, enough for me. They are my only striker fired guns. As much as I love hammer guns and 1911's I like the DAO triggers on the Kahr.
