  1. Back about 6 yrs ago I had several blued guns that were just starting to pit and rust. (My own fault due to not so perfect storage). In my experience once they start, theres not much you can do about it (as far as keeping their value). I ended up selling them, figuring I'll get 90-95% of their value now, as opposed to waiting til they got worse. And yes, part of me wishes I still had them-lol. But I feel I made the right choice. None of them were family heirlooms or anything. All I had bought new in the 70's and '80. Got my use out of them. A Winchester 101, Winchester 9422, and a Browning A-bolt .22.

    Lasers on EDC

To me, lasers are in the same group as compensators and red dot optic sights, they are not needed on an EDC gun. IMO, 99% of situations are going to be close up, and probably going to happen fast, as in no time to think about anything. And this is why I dont carry anything big, with lots of rounds. A single stack 380 or 9mm is what I carry all the time. I dont see needing more than 7 rounds. Just my humble opinion of course.
  3. That was you that hit my boat and sank it? I hear this a lot, somewhere there is a lake with a lot of guns at the bottom-lol.
  4. I'll add to that though. I'm not into rifles. I have an AR, couple 22 target rifles, and a couple O/U and S/S shotguns. Mostly into handguns. Can put more in the safe that way-lol.
  5. I dont mind driving either. But the distance I drive is dependent on the price, and what I'm buying. I drove to KY a few years ago to buy a gun that I couldnt find anywhere else, about 3.5 hrs each way. And the price was right. It just seems like 3-4 years ago prices were lower, and I'd buy something for the hell of it cuz it was cheap-lol. Though most of those those buys are long gone, traded away. Hate to say it, but I have MOST of the guns I want-lol.
  6. Ive been a benefactor in the past. I'll do it again after the holidays. But its not really an itch. Nothing in particular I'm looking for. Just an observation I guess, since I look at guns for sale all of the time. I'm sure lots of folks were thinking Harris (Biden,Obama,Soros etc) might win the election and were holding off selling guns.
  7. Was going to post this in the E TN thread, but figured I would do it here. Maybe a bit off topic, but has anyone from E TN noticed a very low volume of guns for sale in the area? Armslist seems to be dead lately. If not for the Vendor listings, and the Knoxville folks that list in the Tri-Cities also, there would hardly be any guns for sale. And when I click the Bristol VA Armslist, the last gun posted was 73 damn days ago-lol. I was thinking maybe it was an election thing, but now that ****show is over. Now I know not as many people list on Armslist as a few years ago since it got pricey. I also look at the E-Classifieds (an Eastman thing) , Guns Tennessee (all free but not many listings), and Gun Owners Club (lots of listings but seems like mostly the Nashville area). Even the Eastern KY Armslist hasnt had a posting in 3 days. Boone NC has a total of 15 listings. Even Roanoke VA is bare bones lately. I dont mind traveling to buy a gun that I want, and I made many trips to Knoxville over the years which is almost 2 hrs away. But any farther than that and its like a day trip-lol. Nashville is 4 hours from me.
  8. Damn, wish you were farther east.
  9. Wondering if you have yours installed yet, I just ordered 2 of them for me and the wife.
  10. That Galco looks like a nice holster, but damn its pricey. I use one thats Cordura and velcro. Maybe $40, fits many different guns and is quite comfortable to wear. I like to use it when on my motorcycle.
  11. I always buy the Crossbreed horsehide, since its a lot thinner than the cowhide. How does the T-Rex compare in thickness? Well kind of a moo point since they dont make anything for a Kahr. Bummer
  12. Nice. I'm wondering how it compares to the Crossbreed Minituck? Other than trying an Alien Gear IWB a few times (which I liked), the Crossbreed is the only holster Ive ever used with my Kahr P380 and PM9. Ive driven to FLA wearing it, I hardly know its on.
  13. This. But look at the sold auctions, not the current ones. Some sellers are delusional-lol.
  14. Maybe a used 20 ga coach gun? Nothing to jam or go wrong.
  15. Went to a Little Feat concert yesterday over in NC. Wore my "What a long strange trip its been' T-shirt. People kept coming up to me and asking if I had heard about Phil. I hadnt. Bummer.
