ad closed Springfield Armory XDM .40 4.5" LNIB
JonDaddy82 replied to JonDaddy82's topic in Firearms Classifieds
No sir, I wouldn't be interested in any trades, especially for some super Fudd stuff -
$400 LNIB XDM .40. Will come with 3 magazines. I also have a good quantity of of premium defensive .40 caliber ammo for sale as well. Nolensville/Franklin/South Nashville area.
-
Any specific .40 you're looking for? I think I still have a LNIB Springfield Armory XDM 4.5" .40 around somewhere.

I feel like I wrote that myself! 100% same here. I'd love to see Trijicon or some other US manufacturer beat Holosun, but I don't even see them trying. I own more Holosun products than I'd like to admit, and I'm a huge Aimpoint/Trijicon snob.

Slick rig! I have to straight up IGNORE the PSA e-blasts. They've cost me way too much money in the past...
-
I'm been on the Henry train for a while now. Most recent was a Long Ranger Express in 5.56.
-
Sure you don't wanna keep that bad boy living in Antioch? GLWS!
-
LOVED that feeling. But trying to lug that bad boy for a few hours in a training class is exhausting. In addition the aftermarket never really showed up so much for the 805 which really bothered me. HBI and A3 Tactical make everything you'd ever need for the Bren 2 that turns it in to an absolute HOT ROD. The Bren 2 feels just as strong but with what feels like 50% less weight.
-
I had some 805's, then sold them and moved to the Bren 2 platform. The weight savings was just too much to ignore.
-
It looks neat, but I couldn't bring myself to spend 4 digits on one. I'd just save up one more paycheck and get a CZ Bren 2 in 5.56 and have a battle tested weapon from a reputable manufacturer. (I still love PSA, I've spent plenty of money with them over the years)

No, they are not worth it. There is nothing an HK can do that a Walther can't do better for less money as far as I'm concerned.

What is the ultimate end all be all revolver in 38/357 ?

Just depends. If you're filming a movie, S&W Model 327 TRR8. If you're a movie villain with style and class, Colt Python 6". If you're actually trying to run and gun with it, my personal fav S&W Modell 66 Combat Magnum. If you're trying to carry it in your gym shorts, a Ruger LCR. If you're trying to shoot full house magnum loads every single day for the rest of your life and you don't care about it being fancy, Ruger GP100. -
Walther PPQ/PDP series. Super comfortable, easy to field strip, fair price, AMAZING factory trigger.
-
It's a perfectly fine gun, I'm a big Ruger fan. HOWEVER, at the prices you can get a new S&W M&P Shield Plus for, it's really really hard to pick the Ruger. The S&W is just the better built gun of the two with the better trigger.

I'm a 3:00 IWB kinda guy myself

They shoot pretty alight to me! This was at 100 yards with a Leupold VX-R 2-7. Feeding as not been an issue with factory 20 round magazines.
-
Full tube, chamber loaded, safety on. On the assumption I get woken up at 3:00 AM I may not be in my most alert frame of mind and I also don't want to make any additional noise. Remember, the criminal has the drop on you and in most any home invasion you are WAY behind the 8-ball. Having said that, the shotgun is not the first thing I'm going for. I feel much more capable with a high capacity full sized hand gun with a weapon light. Even better than that would be a 9mm sub-gun on some kind with a short barrel.
-
I think a Ruger American/American Ranch in .223 would be a great entry level rifle for you boy. You can get the AR mag fed version if you want to have some versatility. Ammo is easy to find, the rifle is cheap and durable, and the shorter barrels are easy to get around the woods of TN with.
-
I think Ruger knew best to put the entire iron sighting system on the barrel to avoid any sort of return to zero issues with the takedown feature of the rifle. Are you trying to avoid using electro-optics entirely?
-
Love or hate Mark LaRue, I'm a fan of his MBT triggers for the price.
-
I always say the more generic the combination the easier it is to turn into cash. For that reason I stay away from octagonal barrels, brass receivers, etc.
-
I'd say Walther all day and twice on Sunday. Best stock striker trigger on the market.
