The only water I was referring to was becasue I can't stand diet drinks. Never could get past the after taste. Atkins does work for some people.. but if your like me.. After about a week of water, decaf, horrible unsweetened drinks, I'm ready to bail. LOL... Can I SUPER size that? I dunno. I have to do something. I'm not SUPER sized but at 5'7, 250 pounds I could stand to shed about 80 or so... My biggest problem is pushing a keyboard for too many years. The days of running around fixing things are long but over. Almost everything now can be done from a sitting position. I just need to force my self to get off my ass and do something.

Best way to get out of debt is to not pay, then settle with them for pennies on the dollar. I don't need some guru to tell me that. I'll check this guy out tho.. Looks like I have much work to do on this. I'm hoping I'll never have to deal with this bcause I'm not planning on sticking mom in a home no matter what.. but I guess there's always the "what if I can't take care of her" delima.. I sure don't want uncle sam or uncle bredesen getting anything.. They get enough!

This diet sucks if you can't stand no sugar. I mean ok.. meat.. heck yeah I can handle that. No caffene.. sure.. but only WATER? That's where I break down. I can't stand not having juice, sweetened beverages, etc.. I also can't deal with crappy sweeteners they call "like sugar". it all tasts like crap. every single one of them! Diets are all crap. The only true way to keep in half way decent shape is excersize and eat healthy. Portion control.. That's really the only way. All the fad diets and pills are garbage. American's including me are lazy and want the easy way to everytning. So yeah.. I have resided myself to being a fat ass. Maybe one day I'll quit smoking and actually start doing something about it. Maybe Not.. I want to.. but... well something always seems to get in the way... <rant done>

Actually the house is my biggest concern as I do want to keep that in the family. The land the house is on has been in the family for over 100 years. We have a appointment at the attorney's on Friday so I'll see what they say about it all. I'm not concerned about her falling for a scam. She's pretty sharp. she's not going to let anyone pull the wool over her eyes. besides.. sonny boy is watching too now..

I'm not sure where to post this so I'll start here. Feel free to move it should another area be more suitable. I have been telling my parents for years to start looking into ways to protect what they have should either require nursing home care and they really haven't done much about it. They spoke with a estate planner one time that wouldn't talk to them becasue they didn't have the 2mil in assets they required. They stopped and put all this on the back burner after that.. Well.... My Father recently passed and now I'm getting involved in all their financial crapola. So here's the skinny.. They aren't rich. not even close. They own everything they have, home, cars, etc and don't owe anyone a dime. I figure their assets as follows: Home: 250k Retirement accounts: 80k Savings: 70k (cash) I would guestimate everything they own to be less then 600k at currrent market value. It's not alot but it's enough for mom to live comfortable the rest of her life. This along with what she gets from social security she's pretty well set. So my question is.. Can anything be done to now to protect what's left? What about inheritance taxes for me after she passes. What can be done to avoid probate? I really don't want to put anything into my name becasue then if something happens to me.. death, lawsuits, bankruptsy, etc.. heck we all know anything can happen.. and with my luck, I'm not taking any chances with mom's assets. So what can be done to prepare... I hope mom lives a long time but at this point it's definetly time to think about the inevitable. I personally don't care if mom spends it all and there's nothing left.. I just don't want to let the government have it if were ever forced to deal with nursing home care or inheritance taxes. Comments, Advice?

Those are sweet. I thought about picking one up too. Everytime I see one tho it's more like $250+tax+tics so I wait. I'll have one someday.

What has been trickling in is a little higher priced. I think everyone is trying pad their bottom line while they can. who knows maybe we'll never see $7.50 for 50 9mm again.

The only time I can forget I have anything is when I have the P3AT in a paddle holster. I'm pretty big around the middle too so IWB is out as far as I'm concerned. Well unless I want to hike my britches up and wear suspenders. I'm not to that point just yet..

Have you counted your ammo recently?

When threaten; Judge says at least point your gun

Ya got that right. However, if and/or when I ever have to pull mine.. There will be no "showing" it. If I have to un-holster it.. there will be a bullet leaving the barrel. Let's face it.. If you have reached that level of fear. It's go time! Nothing to discuss at that point. at least not to anyone but your attorney. -
The wait is finally over. Now to the range with it. David was right about the triger. I'll probably have that replaced at some point. So far tho.. I love it!

This is exactly why there shouldn't be limitations where permit holders can carry their weapons. The laws are totally screwed up. Problem is, we are the only ones following these stupid laws which leave us more or less defenseless. I don't get it. -
