    Taurus Slim

It's on my list to get this year when and IF i can locate one. There are a few on GB but I have yet to actually hold one.
  2. The only problem I had with A1 was they charge your CC when you place the order and if their website was wrong about quantity or in stock you'll get no notification your order was backordered. I placed an order, waited, waited, waited, finally called to find out my order was on backorder. They charged my cc the day of the order. I told them to cancel it and issue credit. These places should not charge you until the order is verified and ready to ship.
  3. now that is a nice 1911!
  4. The person I got it from said it was a presentation model. No idea how to track or prove that tho..
  5. lol.. I'm not a fan either. I aquired it and ummm doesn't fit me at all.
  6. Yeah. I sorta thought so.. I didn't do it!
  7. Still going through the old guns. This one may be up for sale soon. No idea as to it's history. Anyone know the approx value of this pistol?
  8. I'm starting to go through Dad's guns and I thought I would share this one. Not like it's a collectors item or anything but it does have a great deal of history for me. I had it under the seat in my car when I was stopped, searched and arrested for having a concealed deadly weapon back in 1988. The case was dismissed but it took me forever to get that arrest expunged from my record. Anyway, here it is. Purchased December 1973, near mint cond. It's probably seen less then 200 rounds down the tube.. Too bad he didn't keep the box!
  9. can't.. PI? what's that? heck I thoguht it was typical junk mail. all 3 pages of it.
  10. I just don't get it. Do people really think there's no guns in parks? Of all the crappy little towns to opt out. Paris, TN? LMFAO! I guess being home of the worlds biggest fish fry is something special after all.
  11. I pay $35 for one and $10 each additional on same form. That covers TICS as well.
  12. Bersa and Firestorm are equal. If lighter and smaller is the goal I would go with the kel-tec. If not, go with the Bersa. I have owned Bersa's since the early 90's (Model 83, 85,) as well as the newer Thunder series and they are rock solid designs. Kel-Tec is a solid design too. Both are acceptable and go bang when required..
  13. I just sold a 733 and still have a 732. I also have a 929 22LR. H&R made great revolvers.
  14. both are great little guns. 380 ammo can be a PITA to find, but in reality, how much are you really going to fire a little gun like this. I had both models and I never had a single issue. I sold my P3AT on this board yesterday. I would have kept it but I'm trying to thin out my collection and make room for other things...
  15. 3 cheers for good 'ole American GREED!
  16. Psst.. sorry to hi-jack your thread but I just posted a ton of loading crap in the gear section..
  17. Is that a pistol in your pocket? Hell YES!
  18. doesn't matter. It's gone! But Yes.. They are a wholesale distro.. and rather then piss off their customers (other stores) they opted not to compete with their customers. I don't like it either but it is what it is...
  19. I picked up the PM40 one day early and all I can say is WOW! Fired 50 rounds of MagTech 180gr FMC (1 FTF) in the first 18 rounds then flawless for the remaining 32. I then pulled out the Speer 155gr GDHP and fired 40 flawless rounds. I'm quite pleased with the recoil of the PM40. I had a kel-Tek PF9 and hated the recoil. I was afraid being such a small pistol in .40 the recoil would be as bad or possibly a little harsher then the kel-tek 9mm. I found the PM40 quite pleasant to shoot. After 90 rounds in 30 or so minutes I felt like I could shoot 500 (if I had that many). It's also quite accurate. I was just popping coke cans around the yard at around 30 yards and was able to keep em jumping about quite well. If things go well through the fist 200 (break-in) rounds, this baby will become my primary carry weapon when I find the right holster.
  20. I didn't ask about the night sights. It's the stainless model is all I know. I'm going to pick it up on Saturday. My plan is to carry this and/or the P3AT as my full time carry guns. I had the PF9 and didn't like the feel of it. Never had any issues with it I just didn't like it. The reviews I have seen are mixed which is why I posted this. I sorta wanted some real life comments and not by someone who's promoting the brand.
  21. I have been looking for another carry pistol for a while and finally came across one of these locally for what I believe to be reasonable. $639 + tax + tics. for those of you who already own one.. worth it or not?
  22. I'm in.. Dunno where tho.. so let me know.
  23. I started stuffing my own because of the cost. plus I cut down a little by having to go stuff one before smoking it. I also never make too many at a time so when I'm out I have to conserve them.. I need to quit too.. tried so many times I have lost count. It's comming soon tho becasue every time I stop for a few days I feel so much better. Anyway.. Good luck!!
  24. I found some at least 20 year old primers of my dad's after he passed. They were stored in the basement, in a cardboard box. They all worked just fine. I loaded up 200 rounds of skeet loads and didn't notice any difference from any other's i've loaded.
