  1. just remember to always close and lock the safe. it wasn't long ago some guy in clarksville was robbed and they got away with several of his guns. he had like 3 safes and had forgotten to lock one.. the locked safes weren't touched. i've caught myself doing this too. doesn't give ya a warm and fuzzy about having a safe when you walk in and see it open.
  2. no kidding. I was paying right around $13/50 for cheap target stuff before all this crazyness started. things are slowly starting to settle down.
  3. I bought and sold both.. a couple of times.. lol.. I found them both to be reliable. The p3at is cheaper and feels/looks like it. The LCP is better quality in both look and feel and is a little higher in price. really that's about it.
  4. that's funny. I asked about an extra mag when they had it last week. the guy I was talking to said they didn't even have any. they were on backorder. I'll post again tomorrow after talking with them.
  5. +1 both are pretty snappy due to their weight. I have had both and both were reliable. at least for me.
  6. I'll take that light. I have one just like it. PM sent.
  7. lol na but it'll put you in the one leg shorter then the other two group.
  8. I'm thinking about asking for a new one this time. at least they better send a pick up order for it. I shipped it on my dime last time and that's not going to happen again.
  9. lol.. no worries.. I have the same issues at times.
  10. I went into this knowing it was a crap-shoot. I hope they can work out the bugs too becasue I really like this little gun. in the hand it feels and shoots far better then the lcp or p3at at least for me.
  11. It's dark earth not OD. I was trying to say I didn't like off color guns especially OD plastic.. but this dark earth is growing on me.
  12. Na, i'll be looking for something on the rail. I have somewhat smaller hands and the CT grips would make this thing uncomfortable. right now it's perfect.
  13. Yeah I wanted something different. I have never had an off color gun before and I'm not really a fan of OD. This thing however is growing on me. It's big and quite heavy but for a night stand and range gun it wont be a problem. I'll not be carrying it.
  14. Welcome Neighbor!
  15. This is to continue and update a closed thread located here: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handguns/33416-db380.html I sent mine off because it was a jam-o-matic. I picked it up on friday and didn't get a chance to fire it until yesterday. According to the repair order they replaced the slide and polished the chamber. everything i read up to this point was good about these after a slide replacement. well... I loaded up two mags with ammo. I used Magtech Guardian Gold 85gr +P JHP becasue it's what i used before and it wouldn't feed. I also had wwb, magtach fmj, as well as speer gold dot. I had enough to give the gun a good workout of several hundred rounds. First mag, flawless. i'm thinkin oh-boy... i'm grinnin at this point. Second mag, BANG BANG click click hmmm i racked the slide at this point to chamber a new round. BANG now i'm thinkin bad round? click click click i racked the slide again at this point and looked at both non fired rounds. neither had a mark on them from being struck. odd, huh.. ok back to firing. click click click click what the heck.. so back in the house i go.. anyway... as it stands now I can't even strip the gun. it wont take down at all. i think something with the striker broke but i can't tell becasue it wont come apart. looks like back to DB it goes.. I'll call them first thing in the morning. I'll keep ya'll updated......
  16. picked it up yesterday from a fellow member. can't wait to get a little actual range time with it vs plinking in the yard. this is my first xd in several years, the XD45 service 4" and it takes the place of the sv40ve that i resided here for the past few years. now all i need is to pick up a nice light/laser combo and i'll be all set.
  17. 1. The only way to know for sure is run a background check on yourself. I had something haunt me that was almost 25 years old. It gave me fits every time I bought a gun until I had it expunged. I mad sure my record was clear before applying for my HCP. 2. Unloaded, in a case, and out of reach is typically fine.
  18. You made a good choice. I like the S&W Sigma's.
  19. nothing can be said to make you feel better tonight. tomorrow you can look forward to planning your first trip to see them. it sucks. been there myself. dunno what else to say but hang in there grandpa.
  20. nice job.
  21. that's me too.. summer time the 380 comes out and goes into the pocket. If I can cover it I carry my PM40. (it's a little too big for pocket carry for me)
  22. ...........
  23. yup. used that before too. there's a number of good programs out there today. shouldn't be any reason not to have a backup these days unless your just plain lazy like me.. learned my lesson for a little while tho..
  24. I have a Model 24 series P 22LR/20. It was one of my first guns my dad bought me.
  25. that stinks. never had that happen before. have had a few corrupt images before but only maybe twice in hundreds of images.
