  1. that's good to hear.. like it when that happens.
  2. I'll get some pics when I can locate a camera. Wife just left town and took it with her. w00h00 home alone!!
  3. I have one of these no pic at the moment with original box. Box has $39.50 marked on it as the original purchase price. reasonably good condition and I don't think it's been fired much at all. has two mags. Any idea what it's worth? I know they were made by Astra for Colt in Spain 1958 to 1968. Seems like $350-ish would be a good asking price if I decide to sell. Anyone with a price guide?
  4. Exactly. I would notify GOC of the situation right away. +1000
  5. I don't care who he is. he knew darn well it was rusty. I saw others complaining about it on GOC. Take him to court. Info for general sessions. Each county may be a little different but this is good info. http://www.nashville.gov/circuit/sessions/sessionslocalrules.asp
  6. You have to file a claim in general sessions. they will serve him, if he can be found. if he fails to show in court you get a default judgement. You can then take him back to court to find his assets, place of employment and file a writ of execution or garnishment if he works.. If he fails to appear the judge will then issue a bench warrent for his arrest. It's definetly worth taking to court. it doesn't cost much to file and you don't need an attorney. IF he has anything to take you can take it.. even levy his accounts/property. court in some cases is a good thing.
  7. from what I understand TBI only checks TN. I would request one from the FBI as well. I had an issue from 25 years ago that was dismissed but FBI still had the print card, ie arrest with no final disposition. what a PITA that was to get rid of.
  8. just in case I would submit to have expunged.

    First Gun

    good first choice.
  10. don't be so sure. stranger things have happened.
  11. This is exactly why HCP holders shoudn't have any restrictions on where they can carry their weapons. I don't see that happening because way too many people think guns don't belong in specific places. well unless your a bg and don't give a Guns are everywhere. bg's are everywhere. why can't we protect ourselves everywhere.
  12. I think they would rather stop loss someone.
  13. I been looking at those. I really haven't decided just yet. still kinda looking around. I'm half tempted to go green if I can find something to my liking.. They do make them with the thumb safty but this one doesn't have it.
  14. how can I forget. I was on the eisenhower expressway headed into downtown chicago when I heard the news. I called my boss and told her there was no way I was going downtown today and was headed home. I got home just in time to see the first tower fall on TV. I couldn't imagine being in NY at the time.
  15. I tried the laser thing. I can never see the damn red dot in the daytime. the only laser I have is on the night stand gun. not to mention it adds to the bulkiness of the weapon which defeats the purpose for my needs.
  16. that's my take on it. I walk into the local cig/beer store all the time packin
  17. just dropped it off at ups, they will have it tomorrow.. we'll see how quick the turn around is this time. I wouldn't write them off just yet.. one thing for sure tho. i'm gonna shoot the crap out of it before even thinking about carrying it.
  18. I don't know how long these have been under development but I think they went to market a tad too quick. I think they will get things worked out but it may take a little time. I still have faith tho so we'll see how they do this time.
  19. these have been priced higher then the LCP's. Most are running 350-ish. Is that about what you saw at the show?
  20. just got off the phone with DB. They were super nice and sendig a prepaid pickup for the gun. Hope they can get it right this time. I'll update this thread again when it comes back.
  21. Congrats! those are fine weapons.
  22. I need to take care of a car chasin dog. anyone have a collar they want to loan out or rent?

    Well, Son of a B****

They have 30 days to respond. You can call them and ask for the status. They will also send you something in the mail. keep in mind every time you do this you are suppose to pay $10 to the dealer for the TICS check. Some of them get this up front and some don't. either way it'll cost you another $10. You can also have a background check done with TBI and NICS to see what is showing on your record.
  24. that's an idiot with too much money and too much time on his hands.
  25. you must be a TN resident to purchase a handgun in TN. Doesn't matter if it's a private sale or retail. Same rules apply. As for what happens.. RETIAL: you find a gun, fill out the forms, wait until you get approved (can take minutes to weeks) depending on what shows during your background check. then pay your bill and take the gun home. PRIVATE: make the deal, show your ID, walk away with your new handgun. Simple..
