  1. I'm going to fondle one at the show on saturday. then I'll make my decision. It'll give me a change to handle others as well. I really would like a 1911 in 9mm but i don't want to spend quite that much on one. The SR9 is a logical choice keeping my pricepoint in check and under $500 I have the sigma and love it. just looking to add one more.
  2. +1 The PM series Kahr is second to none.
  3. now that's what i'm talkin about.. cool.
  4. I'll check that out for sure.
  5. a little cool yet but yes. she likes horses. see this is my problem. everything is closed outdoors this time of year. and i can't seem to locate anything indoors accept chuck e cheeses. may just have to go there again i suppose.
  6. is that $20 /w TICS or + TICS?
  7. Yeah, under $400 used. well under as a matter of fact..
  8. I will probably take her to the one in Clarksville. I was just wondering if there was anything bigger. Chuck E Cheese is kinda lame imo, they needs to have like a kids quest or something.. it's like a Chuck E Cheese on steriods. The mess has already been made with her NaaNa.. I would have her shooting in the yard but it's a muddhole. plus she's a tad young for that just yet. I'll wait till she can hold pencils and crayons a little better first.
  9. I'm just looking for a range toy. My primary carry is .40 / .45 and when nothing else will fit, .380. I have a couple of 9's now and just wanted to add another comfortable shooter to the mix. I will probably never carry this purchase. This is all good info.. keep it coming..
  10. Hey all.. my granddaughter is here from sunny California for a week and she's getting a little stir crazy. She just turned 3 in december and i'm looking for fun places to take her. This time of year sucks casue it's cold and lots of places I know are closed for the winter.. give me some ideas, within like two hours travel or so.. Nashville, Jackson, Clarksville?
  11. yeah complaints about racking the slide.. I don't care about that. I want real opinions about the gun in general.
  12. I experience the hang as well as timeouts. Just wait a few seconds and hit the refresh button. that works most of the time for me.
  13. I'm looking to add another 9mm to my stash and was thinking about getting one of these.. yeah or nea, and why...
  14. no brans at all. the kid sould have shot him in the head. one less idiot.
  15. I'm not sure you can mix 9mm and .40 but ya can darn sure pop a .40 into a .45. results aren't too pleasant but umm.. accidents happen.. lol
  16. +1 on acting fast.. ya sonnze ya loose. you have to be ready to fly out the door and go get it. whatever "it" is..
  17. Umm.. most of us have insurance becasue it's the law. Ya'll can spend your money how you see fit, and I do the same. I for one will not give an attorney a single penny unless I have absolutly no choice. The legal system sucks. I'm not worried about being tossed in the slammer for a self defense death. What worries me is the fact you can be charged with nothing and then be hauled into court for wrongful death. Attorney or not, civil suite will break you one way or another.
  18. I like craigslist vs LSN. craigslist: tennessee classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events No pets and no firearms.. everything else ya can think of tho.. from trinkets to massage's with happy endings..
  19. My guess would be the floats. I don't have the bike but have rebuild many carbs in my day. jets and passages are only used when the bike is running and vacume is present. Could be the needle not seatng or float out of adjustment and flooding the overflow passages. See if it leaks with the gas cap off. it's possible it may be casued by pressure too. just my opinion.

    Conditional approval

Guys this is quite common. Just be patient. Once the TBI sends you the official paperwork you'll see what they saw. And NO.. It's not their responsibility to get the information from the other angencies. All they can do is request it.. if they don't get it.. you have to do the leg work. It sucks.. that's for sure.. but there's nothing you can do about it. I had the same issue several years back i'll try to explain. I was arrested in 1988 on a weapons charge. I was booked, printed, and tossed in the slammer for the night. The charges were dismissed the next day and I was released. When you are arrested your print card along with the charge is sent to the FBI. The local authority is suppose to update the FBI with a final disposition in every case. This doesn't always happen. So.. YEARS later I go to buy a gun. TBI see's the record with the FBI and requests information from KY. KY doesn't respond. Why? becasue they have no record of the arrest at all.. NOTHING.. So I get denied and the typical conditional procede a few weeks later After dealing with this crap twice I decided to take action. I requested background checks from TBI, FBI and the KY State police. I then filed the proper paperwork to have that FBI record expunged. It took about 6 months from start to finnish.. This can happen to anyone.. It's also possible someone else's arrest information is on your record due to identity theft or even human error. Best thing to do is not get pissed. Take the appropiate action and get it resolved once and for all. disregard spellng and grammar, i'm in a hurry.. lol
  21. As armed as we all are here in TN i'm not sure I can see that happening. If I was LEO I would be scared to death.
  22. I really like the looks of that Stinger. May have to check them out myself.

    Conditional approval

If the transfering FFL won't accept the conditional approval (and they don't have to) the only thing you can do is wait and see what the holdup is. You may want to run a check on yourself through TBI and NICS to see what shows. Once you figure out what's there.. you can work on getting it removed. I had the same issue before and it took me 6 months to get things cleaned up.
  24. I was just going to bring this up. Another thing to remember is IF you ever felt the need to use it while on company property you'll probably be terminated as well. I don't like it either but if I liked my job, I would either park elsewhere or leave it at home.
