  1. I tried it with my G32 and lone wolf barrel and I also ordered a 9mm extractor and didn't have any problems. I don't know if a .40 extractor will give you any problems but I never bothered to find out.
  2. Licensed maritime engineer currently working on inland rivers where it is not required ....YET!!!
  3. A SKS. Besides just being fun to shoot, for the price (back when it was reasonable) you can't find a better plinker. I mean seriously, how much fun can you have with a 10/22.....?
  4. GT14 Gen 2 SHP Mounted only for pics, but it's actually not that bad using iron sights. (I'm not really into red dot sights anymore.) with onboard IR illuminator
  5. If you don't mind, for a cheap 9mm check CDNN for police trade-in S&W Auto's. Alot of those are barely used and well under $400.
  6. I carry my G19 in a IWB Galco Summer Comfort. I've grown comfortable wearing (and drawing) mine @ 2 o'clock with a forward cant.
  7. There's hoping for Ruger to release a (REASONABLY PRICED) Mini 14/30/6.8 worth a
  8. My favorite AR is my S&W M&P15A I bought from a fellow TGO'er a while back.
  9. I would not recommend doing it, at least with krylon. I did it with my Mossberg and while I was happy with the pattern, I wasn't happy with how thick all the layers were and how deep scratches made it look after a couple of outings. I didn't like the way it scratched up the magazine tube under the forend or how mild gun oil would start to dissolve the thin areas even after a month of curing and a couple of trips in the wife's oven. and it wore off alot around the grip and forend rather easilly even with a clearcoat layer. I did however reparkerize everything and coat the receiver with Brownell's Alumahyde II and I like it all Black alot better. Plus it took me about 2 hours of scrubbing and wiping w/ acetone to get the paint off.
  10. Prices were rather unbeliveably ridiculous (high), $1200 Olympic A2 stood out alot to me, Not many revolvers except the Mint (they better have been for the prices they wanted) S&W under glass cases and the $399 Remington 870 Expresses were a little too much for my B.S. meter. So, luckily The Great Outdoors Store had a Mossberg 535 for $250. So today wasn't a total bust except for driving 60 miles and spent $9 for nothing.
  11. add "any decent 9mm hollowpoint besides WWB or Federal Hydroshock" in the Jackson/Humbolt area. I went to Dick's, The Great outdoors Store, Parkway, Mike's wasn't open yet and a couple shops in Humbolt. I finally s**t on my moral compass and bought all the 147gr Gold Dot gander mountian (high priced crooks) had. But all 3 shops in Jackson had plenty of .380 though.
  12. I had a M&P40c and I could reach the disconnect with my pinky finger. That grip retainer rarely got used. Anyway, I like Glocks. Owned a 17,27,32 and carry a 19. Had a M&P40c and a XD-9 (not for very long), sold them and went crawling back to a Glock.
  13. Get it blued and then strip it off and Parkerize it. Best finish there is.
  14. Easy. FNP-45. Way better than the Berretta PX4 I rented. The PX4's muzzle flip is horrible. Shooting them side by side made me appreciate the FNP-45 much better.
  15. there's The Great Outdoors store in Jackson. $15 an hour and you can shoot anything up to .50BMG and archery. 25 yards though. Then there's the FOP range. Only $35 one time membership fee. it's about 50 yards (but if you are there alone, you can stertch it out across the parking lot.....but you didn't hear that from me.)
  16. Before you go drooling over the Glock 36, keep in mind that the Glock 30 SF is available now.

    AR-15 sights

check out http://www.samplelist.com/ they have so,e good deals from time to time.
  19. I had a 7.5" pistol kit from Model1sales and it ran just fine. It came with a pistol specific buffer tube and buffer. I'm not sure about the spring itself but I don't think it is a carbine assembly.
  20. Not really. I emailed them asking about leo/mil only sales and I was informed about the civilian waiting list. They should be taking payments at the end of August and shipping in early september. BTW, not for 6.8SPC and .308, but supposed to be out later.
  21. or the 2008 license plate. They will knock off $0.75 off the regular purchase price from $7.50 to $6.75.
  22. S+P+O+R+T+S = FTW
  23. After reading this range report reminded me that I did have 1 (and only 1) failure when shooting my FNP-45. The slide didn't lock back after the last round when I shot it off the benchrest. (resting the mag on a soft shooting bag) So I'm still 250 for 250 on the FNP-45 reliability scoreboard.
  24. Why not save some more and build a gas piston AR15. Bushmaster has Ares piston retrofit kits for $399. That comes with handguards and bolt carrier. The best of both worlds.
  25. My only "concern" would be magazines. Has there been any problems with 5.45x39 out of GI mags? It is just like the 6.8spc issue. I would like to get one but I don't want to buy $30 mags again. Other than that, go for it while the surplus supply is still good. And Wolf 5.45 prices are good now too.
