We had Western Sizzlin restaurants in the mid 80s that had those inside but it was a stand alone building, not at a mall.

I agree, i am close too and the place is a joke really. I also heard they are going to charge to park in the national park area soon. The history and the mountains are beautiful but all the crap along the way is just too much. Good revenue for sevier county but i'm not a fan of all of it. Also if you go to a car show up there, be prepared to sit in 3 hours of traffic and they are nothing like they used to be.

My grandfathers 2000 GMC Sierra not a high demand or popular car. I just remember him buying it new and bring it over to show us. Now I wish we still had it.
I never got to know my grandfather's but can for sure understand the sentimentality of it. I do however own a 1999 and a 2000 Silverado and they are great trucks. The other day I saw the old guy in the neighborhood having his roughly 2000 GMC Sierra model 4x4 towed away and it's never came back, I would have loved to had that one too. Probably didn't get much for it.

Merry Christmas to you and all the other TGO members. And yes, never forget the reason for the season.

Here's a link where a local news channel in Knoxville wrote about it. Apparently it was south Knoxville where the cocaine landed and the dead trafficker was found. Also noted that Waylon Jennings bought the stuffed bear at first but didn't know that it was the cocaine bear supposedly. The bear also ended up in a pawn shop lol before the mall owner bought it.

Well, f.....!
I put them in a couple of zip-loc bags, but forgot to put them in fridge before I went to bed. Woke up this am to find two ripped open empty bags on the kitchen floor. Our two GSDs got a treat last night.
At least I still have the lard to make biscuits.
Lemme guess neither one of the dogs knew anything about it? lol

We haven't yet, but have noticed quite a few people have been doing it earlier around here lately.......I saw some people take down their Halloween inflatables and replacing them with the Christmas ones the day after Halloween. Holiday cheer is always a good thing though and if it makes you all feel good more power to ya. Happy Holidays!

Hey Legion, the link isn't working, at least for me.
Hey Moped, have you been to the new Smoky Mountain Guns and Knives on Asheville Hwy in East Knox? They did have 9mm brass for $15 a box of 50. I don't know if they still do or not, it was when it was newly opened. I think the rest of the ammo was about the same as other places, i was just there to grab the cheap 9mm and didn't have alot of time.

I knew this guy years ago that had an Akita. I believe they can be mean dogs not too familiar with them. He was walking in his back yard with him one day and slipped in a hole in the yard and feel onto the back of the dog and the dog attacked him really bad. I agree with deerslayer above in the fact that i have never had the desire to own any of the "badass" breads of dogs........especially with kids in the house. But for sure prayers for the families, it'd hard to imagine what they have to be going thru.

The passport is a straight up wagon body. The ridgeline is the model with the bed.
Total mistake on my part i meant the Ridgeline......thanks for pointing that out. I did have a buddy with a 93 Passport in high school though and it was a good vehicle. Actually i am wrong again, it was an Isuzu Rodeo, but i believe that was mostly a rebadged Passport.

Welcome! TN is a nice place to be
Just gassed up my ride for $2.69 a gallon. Can't imagine how much Cali is.
Personally, I like the scenery and weather here too. And yes, the great TN people.

Wayback machine - Mall restaurant chain with "flame" flickering light bulbs.

It was a dimly lit steakhouse and each table had those flickering lights on the wall at each booth. They had charbroiled steaks and burgers and such. It may still be around, not sure it's anything like it used to be.
