  1. I've been using it for about 20 hours... One thing I'm not liking right now is how it's set up in the task manager... I'm a "multi-tab" kinda guy (old habit from the days of dial-up... load a couple pages, read the first one that gets up, click a new link, let it load and check one of the others)... It makes each individual tab a new process. Now, I think I see the reasoning behind this - if you have something running in an individual tab, normally it could possibly crash firefox/Opera (IE... bleh). With this style of running things, you could isolate the individual oppressor and kill it without killing the other 13 (at the moment) tabs you have going. Pros and cons... I am also not liking the short list of options (that I've found so far) as far as customizing the browser. I'm a big fan of the "Classic Look", and I'm not seeing that option... just the bubbly blue skin. Something awesome... hit CTRL+SHIFT+N... it opens an "incognito window". If nothing else, just read the blurb about it... makes me smile. @sling... are you interested in cell phones? Check out the new open source phone OS called "Android" which will be released next month on t-mobile on a Handset called the HTC G1 aka the HTC Dream. Plenty of info out there on it now. It still won't do JAVA chat out of vBulletin... which I find odd, as I was thinking it was kinda taking that thing as a sub specialty. Something else I noticed and miss... there isn't the web-site header/info at the top like I'm used to. If I'm 18 posts down into a thread, I want to be able to see what the title was without scrolling up (ex. Google Launches New Web Browser "Chrome" - Tennessee Gun Owners ... which is what shows up on this same page under IE. Its helpful to me... a glaring ommission in my eyes. Going to flesh it out some more... prolly give it two weeks (but still having IE running for a chat room I'm in that is most stable, for me, in IE) **BRENT**
  2. Yeah... there is a bolt action rifle used in the first scene with a camo print on it. This is what was used for the first part of the scene. I'll take nightrunner's word that it was a remington 700. Only after the "incident" on the chopper's 2nd pass did Swaggert switch to the 82a1 which was revealed after he picked up a large bag concealing the beast. That is what was used as the primary anti-helicopter weapon. **BRENT**
  3. Eddie, My condolences... I met your wife, like many, only at the HG meet last month. Seemed like a great person. I'm truly sorry for your loss. **BRENT**
  4. This is the reason I own a 1911... My answer is no, btw. **BRENT**
  5. /me hates you all... Glad you had a good time, guys. I had my camera ready to go, but no need in getting everyone sick. Someone had a Taurus PT1911? I REALLY wish I would have gone now. I've fondled a few, but I wanted to see how the "budget champ" compares to the other things I've shot (1911 wise). Sadly, Prentice Cooper is a LOT closer to me than Carter's... yet it will STILL take a while to get out there. Gotta see how everyone is feeling... may just have to catch it next month. **BRENT**
  6. Hey guys. I hate it that I can't make it, but not only are BOTH of my kids sick, I've come down with it as well. I feel even sorrier for my kids if THIS is what they've felt like, especially the two year old who can't vocalize his feelings with as much depth of vocabulary as even my five year old. Tomorrow starts spring break for my 5 y/o. Looks like I'm going to have a looooong week ahead of me. You guys have fun... I was looking forward to BBQ ALMOST as much as the comraderie and shooting... the local BBQ place got shut down here... haven't had it in 9 months. **BRENT**
  7. Why doesn't everyone just wear their TGO Hats? **BRENT**
  8. I'm going to try to get someone to watch the kids. I would have to jet by 3:10 or so, but I'll have my Les Baer Xtreme Tactical, so if I can make it, feel free to throw as much as you want down that. I won't be voting yay or nay til the weekend, though... **BRENT**
  9. 17.50$!?!?!?!? The last time I was there (probably last summer) there was stuff for 12.49$/box (blazer) and the S&B was around 14$-14.49$. 17.50$? Looks like its time to get into reloading for anyone who shoots over 250 rounds/yr. BTW, Carter's was cheaper on their cheapest than walmart last time I was there. **BRENT**
  10. Hey guys... Just noticed this thread. I'll try to make it, and bring my Les Baer... its all I got, but if I can make it (gotta make sure there is someone to watch the kids), but whoever wants to be converted to the stylings of Mr. Browning can feel free to be converted... **BRENT**
  11. Very Nice... Did you get it at the old price? I know LB went up on Feb 1... Still a good deal, just not as good as it was on Jan 31. BTW, there was someone looking for a shooting buddy in Cookeville on one of the threads around... search for it, you may make a new friend. **BRENT**
  12. +1 I think you should do it, but be prepared to have it edited. Its following is only around 1M viewers/day last I heard, so not as wide spread as you'd imagine, but its a good show. It's also schtick. Take some of the advice and don't do the "one word answers," they will get you with that. I would also see about having them only refer to you as your screen name. Having TCR report call you "The Rabbi" would, I believe, cater to the audience and possibly bring a little more respect. Try watching a few clips of the interviewers to see how they play things. Its not your typical interview by any means. I'd watch a full episode or two to get the feel of it before you reply to them. It is a fun show, though. **BRENT**
  13. Just save up for a Wilson Combat CQB with Light Rail. Swing by Hero Gear if Joe still has one in stock once the SIS comes in. I kinda like that Kimber, but I also REALLY liked the Kimber Raptor II. I'd fondled a few of them and a grand raptor as well (this one a personal gun and not just at a store). I love the look, but go feel or shoot a Wilson (or Baer (what I have) or Ed Brown or Nighthawk) etc... If I were in the market for a 1911 with a light rail, I'd probably save my pennies for the Wilson. I was that impressed with it. YMMV **BRENT**
  14. http://www.tngunowners.com/dynamics/showentry.php?e=9&catid=3 http://www.tngunowners.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=43&cat=15 This kinda what you're looking for? (These are HG specific, but you should be able to backtrack easily enough from there). **BRENT**
  15. I can't believe no one here caught this before. I heard about it about 2-3 weeks ago. Seems like a surveyor messed up back in 1818 and the GA state line is a mile further south than it should be. I believe there has been legislation in GA to try to get it changed. Here's an excerpt from the AP story: "Some influential Georgia politicians have suggested using old-fashioned horse trading to broker a water deal, saying Georgia should offer a high-speed rail line from Atlanta to Chattanooga in exchange for rights to the river. But Tennessee's governor said he was unaware of the Georgia legislation until he was told of it by The Associated Press earlier this week." Bredesen found out about it earlier this month from another AP story. His response: "This is a joke, right?" Here's a CNN posting of one of the AP stories from 2/8/08: http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/02/08/drought.state.line.ap/ It should be interesting... Note in the article that not only would GA get part of the TN river, but Mississippi would get part of Memphis. **BRENT**
