There are proper techniques for all however the pistol is the only one you should need, mount one to the others & while it is easy enough to mount one to a pistol carrying it would be a pain.

I love the 3 stupids rule can you tell me where you got that one. Also if someone plans to "spend 70% of this time working on shooting 1 handed" they might want to know proper draw stroke to make sure their off hand is always out of the way of the muzzle, just throwing this in as something to be aware of for those that might not know it.

How many of these do you have?

I thought seriously about buying one until I was at a level 1 handgun class & the guy to the left of me had one & about 10 or so rounds into the class the extractor decided that it didn't want to be attached to the gun anymore - the instructor happened to have the exact same model in his truck & let the guy borrow it - he finished the rest of the class without a hitch but it definitely made me think about other options.

As soon as they perfect the portable DNA scanner this will all be obsolete, til then I guess we will have to rely on the RFID chips they implant at birth Seems to me that if people begin to mindlessly swipe dl's to verify it, it would be even easier for someone to counterfiet them.

As an extra encentive people that I know who carry in my area have a little deal if you catch a fellow permit holder not carrying it cost them $5.00 - I know not much these days but it could add up.

I always referred to Ktown as knoxvegas to piss off my ex boss who drove to Greeneville to get a job & complained about how it was in the sticks - frankly there are too many people here to suit me!

Has your attitude towards guns changed?
Schadenfreude replied to The Rabbi's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I have carried for 10 years as well mostly a full size 1911, browning hp, or a little 22 revolver pocket gun when more discretion is required - yes I consider it a pain just like the surefire light, the knife, the cell phone, etc. jeez I need a backpack - I almost allways carry concealed & don't worry about it alot however if I pass a mirror I will find myself checking for a print. Also as an incentive not to get lazy & not carry I have a running agrement with several others who carry in the area if you are caught not carrying it will cost you $5.00 -

The fact that this guy is even close to being nominated for anything is proof that the average iq in this country has dropped below the retardation level -

Not a big fan of Glocks or Sigma's but the Sigma was such a direct copy of the Glock that S&W was sued by them

Does your reloading manual give examples of what to look for in an over pressured round? Looking at the primers will tell if you are too hot. Speer makes a good loading manual, lee's isn't bad either, also run a few rounds of fact. Ammo, is the gun still functioning ok? - If you have too much pressure providing that you don't have way too much the primers will be forced against the breech face deforming the primer around the edges. Looking in my lee manual it says to start with 4.5 grains of titegroup not to exceed 4.8. In the past I have worked up a load for a Luger a friend of mine had we loaded 5 rounds starting at the min then 5 more with a little more & repeat until a 50 round box was loaded with 10 different loads - carefully document this - keep firing progressively hotter loads - not exceeding max - until the gun functions reliably - then you know the cheapest load that will function because it has just enough powder. It may not be the most accurate & you need access to a chrony to really know what is going on but as long as you don’t exceed the max you should be ok.

A gentle wake-up call on tactical awareness

You might consider a cheap perimiter alarm x10 sells wireless motion detectors & a remote chime alarm that can be plugged into any outlet in your house it sounds like a doorbell -
My ideal gun would never need to be reloaded, never fail to hit what I was aiming at & have settings from stun to vaporize. On a more pracical note the Sig P250 sounds like what several of you are talking about - modular different calibers & frames etc.

Insight Technologies X2 Sub Compact is smaller I don't own one so can't speak of quality though

I put a stronger spring on the trigger, doesn't effect pull much but helps with a more positive reset. I have 2 hi powers I personally removed the mag safety from both as the trigger feels like 100 grit with them installed. I have allways heard that you should never remove a safety device from a gun as it can get tricky in court if you have to use it, but the trigger is lousy with it in a high power. Can't comment on the CZ never owned one.
