I know Royal Range allows for transfers if you buy a gun online. But only if you're a member and then they still charge you quite a bit. Anyone know of a decent FFL that doesn't go all out on charging you for buying from 3rd parties (I know, it kinda goes against their business model and why most won't do it or charge a lot for it).

There is a good gun shop in Franklin that has a good rating "Arms and Ammo" (don't go to the Armory) that may be able to help you out. I'm an older guy and am willing to help out (often don't have a ton to do) and wouldn't mind seeing some cool guns. I'm not too far from you. And might be interested in them.

Perfect example of how CA laws do nothing to protect people. They have the high-capacity magazine ban. Ok, then back a few years ago there was "Freedom Week" where it was allowed for one week to buy and own any magazine you wanted. MILLIONS of "high capacity" mags flowed into CA. Since then . . . . no increase in crime or use of these mags in crimes. Odd... based on CA's arguments in the case this would have lead to mass death across the state. That didn't happen. Years later it is STILL being fought in court.

I haven't tried anything besides going online, ordering parts and having to go there and pick them up a few days later. So not much to let me down about. It was so crowded that I'm not looking forward to going back.

I only know about it because I went there a few months ago to pick up a G17 spring. Found it from their website and was going to pay shipping and it was free pickup from the store... nice. They have a range there as well, but be warned, parking SUCKS.

Just an FYI. The Glock company store is near the airport. About $375 new. But I can understand if you want it used.

Let us not forget that the ATF raided Ghost Gunners and Polymer80 a few months back. Want to bet those were all counted as well. They are also counting every "ghost gun" as a gun without a serial number, so any stolen gun, or private party purchased gun with the serial number filed off is a "ghost gun".

Came to say I purchased the Mossy 500A from him, no problems, showed up, chatted for a while and then sat in traffic on the way home. Ok, not so much traffic, but got home and it was dark so didn't get to fire it yet.

That is often the problem, if you buy $100 or $200 worth of components and pay $15 to $20 in shipping, it hurts. Plus, I like to support smaller local places.

I was looking for the benefactors page and didn't see that, if so, that makes sense.

But like myself, I really want to get in contact with a user about a gun they have for sale. But I'm stuck having to create posts like this to get my count up so I can. :(. Really hate creating junk posts. Any thoughts on adding another method or, maybe make it limited to time as well. I created my account a few months ago, and just started looking for a new gun and ended up back on here. Maybe 3 months and it automatically goes away as well?

I've been buying them online but would prefer to buy locally. I'm often in Waverly and Nashville. I'm kinda surprised I haven't found anywhere good In the areas to buy supplies.

That's awesome, I just, I mean this morning, purchased mine because I was waiting until February. I did notice it said from 3/2/22 to 3/2/23 but I thought it was just the way their system was. But this is really good to know. :). Thanks. Yeah, water, power and even electric are generally in the foundation of the house in CA. They then come up in the locations needed. It isn't bad, but man when one breaks, that's a royal pain in the butt. My house in TN is mostly on posts here in Nashville area, go into the crawl space there there a few dozen posts sitting in concrete holding the house up. Roof isn't much better, Just enough poles to hold it up. Rafters in the houses in CA are so complex you can barely walk up there. I do believe this is all for earthquakes.

I've noticed that codes for running water lines is different, they are often exposed. Gas lines as well. No pylons allowed in CA for the house foundation, must be a full solid foundation (and likely right, due to Earthquake reasons). Just a few things like that. Lots of CA imports heading to TN. As long as they leave their politics behind, that's good. If you're a home owner, prices going up is a good thing.

Purchased my 1911 new, Springfield Operator, love the damn thing. But it wasn't cheap. I could never sell my Lugars, that must have hurt. But I'm sure he had his reasons then... that was a long time ago.

Just finished my first full year in TN. Loving every minute of it. I relocated from Southern California (Orange County). Some things from the last year : * Most people here are very friendly, really can't complain about the people at all. If they don't like you, they'll tell you . . . which is much better than the fake friendlyness of CA. * Winters are different, but not bad. Yes, it gets colder and it does last longer than OC, but not nearly as bad as some people think (note, I grew up in Connecticut so it was a lot colder) * Summers get more humid, but didn't find it unbearable. * Housing is big. Houses in TN are built different, and honestly, not as well as the SoCal houses. One thing that CA has are a lot of laws and rules around house building, some of them make sense, especially after seeing some of the work done on the houses here. Newer houses are much closer to the CA standards though. * Finding good contractors has been HARD, really HARD. Lots of flaky contractors, really have to be on top of them or they just stop showing up or do crappy work. One guy I have been using and like, said that there aren't so many restrictions so just about anyone with a hammer and some nails claim to be a contractor. So watch out. * Roads, oh man, I40, you have to dodge cars driving like crazy, worry about the truck behind you no further back than 3 feet, and the massive amount of pot holes. Ugh. * If you get away from cities, there is a ton of open land, everywhere. It's beautiful out there, go explore! * If you're from SoCal like me, having 2 or 3 days of rain a year, you're in for a surprise, 2 or 3 days a week more like it. Not bad, but different. When buying a house, make sure you're not going to have a leaky basement or in a flood zone. * So much peace and quiet, it is great. I'm sure there is more, but man, I love being in TN. Just got my Hunting and Fishing license, so I'm ready to go. NOTE: it seems like they are valid from Feb to Feb every year, so if you buy it in September it is only good until February. Now is a really good time to buy yours. $160/year for the all inclusive sportsman (with few exceptions). Now I just need some fishing gear and some more guns.
