Check MarlinOwners.com for lots of input on peep sights and anything Marlin

You might do some research. I recall reading that cinder block absorbs water and then with freezing is slowly crumbles; this was a problem with spring houses in cold climates. I would think properly sealing the cinder block would minimize this potential problem.

If you buy new check out CDNNInvestments.com

WyattEarp, you are gaining wisdom. I believe "Success" is denial of self via complete submission to God. The worldly outcome is immaterial, the spiritual outcome is unmeasurable.

If u r looking for reasonable quality that will last and hold a zero you will have to spend +/- $200. Ck out ChuckHawks.com The Redfields, Nikon Pro-Staff, and the Burris are rated very well. Redfield is made in the USA, and the others are are imported but not ComChi made.

REI rents quality tents, and I believe sleeping bags, as well as other gear. It is a good way to try camping without a major investment.

If a group of does comes in shoot the biggest oldest doe first (the matriarch), then sit tight. The other does will return shortly. If a deer runs before you can shoot, yell or hoot loudly, they will frequently pause and turn to look back.

This past Sat. I attended with 4 other guys the Middle TN BSA sporting clays shoot in Nashville. Combined we shot 500 rounds of Rio target loads. Other than 2 duds no problems.

My observations from the pic provided are the sights on top are not adjustable, and since they are so high you will have to lift your head to use them, thus no consistent place to anchor your cheek, thereby limiting practical use to short range. I have used the Bushnell Trophy 28mm red dot. It is great in bright conditions but terrible for low light such as dusk and early morning.

all the info you could want to know about Marlin 336 and Glenfield is avail at MarlinOwners.com. Check out the pawn shops they frequently have them. I would not pay more than $300 and preferably less. Special edition models are generally not worth anymore to anyone but the buyer. If you want the best accuracy and greatest range put a scope on it, or at least a peep sight.

Having recently move to TN from the Baltimore area, yes I am so thankful to be out of the Peoples Republic of Maryland, this guy is not an idiot. He is smart, and manipulative. He is pandering to a voting public that is extreamly liberal and in some cases ignorant. You can be at a Dicks Sporting Goods store outside the city on the light rail with in 30 min. (All the stats show the light rail has become a crime corridor; "rob and ride". Nashville take note.) This candidate knows his proposed tax will have absolutely no impact on crime what so ever. It is pure and simple manipulative pandering. Maryland was recently listed as having the second most restricted gun laws in the country.

Lots of questions. Does not say if the study went through peer review. Is the sample size biased towards legal or illegal gun ownership or criminals or other risk takers? If the study is valid then gun owners should have a higher conviction rate of drunk driving, moving vehicle violations, accidents, etc....than the general population/control group. However, while not a statistically valid comparison other studies show legal gun owners as among the most law abiding citizens. When was the last time the LA Times wrote a pro gun article?

What the FBI Learned about Gangsta Thug Mentality
Patrick Henry replied to Warbird's topic in General Chat
all of this is chilling!!! If true, it is very disturbing that all most 40% of gangbangers have some military training. -
What are the rules for shooting on your own property?

"I am keeping my fingers crossed for you, there is nothing better than being able to shoot in your own backyard, I love living in the country!" Being able to piss off your front porch is better -

Mike.357 summed it up well. Something else is going on and it ain't 'bout cookin. She is trying to push your buttons. -
go to CDNN Sports, Inc. they are in TX. inexpensive firearms and assessories.

if you go with your preferred course of action you may want to check to see what would happen if you were to be at fault in an auto accident in AL. The ins. co. may say you fraudulently claimed TN residency and therefore your insurance is null and void and you are 100% liable for all personal and property damages.

Best scopes in the $200-$400 range?
Patrick Henry replied to SKINDOG's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Bushnell 3200 scopes are considered very good, on par with some of the Leopolds, and they are being discontinued so you should be able to find a deal. Look on Amazon. -

If the victim does not have a HCP I bet he gets one soon! -
Walmart's in stock long gun prices are very competitive. Academy will price match, but their list price is usually higher than Walmart. It has been reported that a significant # of Walmarts stopped selling long guns several years ago. I know they did in the major metro. areas of the NE. It will be interesting to see if they start to sell them again in the liberal major metro. areas. I believe it will all come down to what the sales are per sqr. ft. vs. other items.
