  1. Yes it is. I went on a trip to the mountains last year and a had a lot of fun. Here is a picture of me on the Tail of the Dragon, 318 curves in 11 miles.
  2. My wife took the MSF over the Easter weekend, and I bought her a 2006 Suzuki GZ250 on 4-1-08 with 91 miles on it and it now has 985. If you get a motorcycle I recommend you take a MSF course and once you take the course all you have to do is take the certificate showing you completed the course and they will put the endorsement on your license. I took these pictures while she was at the class.
  3. What about a fat guy on a Kawasaki? Just kidding
  4. Here is a link to their website. http://www.gunsandleather.com/
  5. Welcome, I send a lot of business your way when people ask about a gun store with good prices and selection. I have talked to Dennis about this site before but I know he is a busy man.
  6. Road Trip?
  7. Thanks for the compliments.
  8. Thanks, I looked at a lot of bikes before I settled on the M/S but the M/S fit me the best and it was also within my budget which was a big plus. I sold my ZZR and put $200 extra with it to buy this bike, but i had to drive almost to Atlanta to pick it up.
  9. I already signed up on the Mean Streak forum and the GZ250 forum as Meanguy.
  10. I thought about that.
  11. Several reasons, Back in Oct. I went with a bunch guys to East Tn and we mainly rode around the the speed limit and when I got back my wrist hurt and my pinkies stayed numb for two weeks after that, but I went to Huntsville, Al. (350 miles total in one day) about a month ago and I kept my speed between 85-95 on the way down there and about 80 on there way back and did not hurt at all, because the wind was pushing me back taking pressure off my wrist. Another reason is here lately I have been flying around the curves and I was afraid I was going to get a big ticket. But the icing on the cake was my wife got her M/C license the first of April and I bought her a GZ250 cruiser and I wanted a bike that I was comfortable cruising with her, and we are planning a trip to Alabama the first week in July.
  12. Well I sold my ZZR1200 and bought me a 2005 Kawasaki Mean Streak, it had 1,291 miles on it when I bought it, Hard Krome 2into1 exh. power commander, corbin seat. Here are some pictures.
  13. When there was a bunch of firearm bills in the state house, and the gun owners said that we are law abiding citizens and we do not commit any crimes. So Phil Williams researched the HCP holders and found some people that had there HCP renewed after they had been convicted of a crime. So now the state is doing a thorough background check.
  14. I renewed mine on 2-14-08 and I had to call and get another extension. The lady I talked to was very nice and said they are running way behind and I asked her if this had anything to do with the Phil Williams story on channel 5 and she said yes.
  15. I went there once, it is in Al. you can buy long guns from them but the handguns will have to go through a FFL. The prices was about average for gun shops, I did not see any great deals.
  16. You are correct, and it also works for the other Marlin and Glenfield .22 rifles. Marlin started doing this in the middle of 1972, and between 1968 to 1972 the first 2 digits of the is the year it was made. Before 1968 there was a letter code used.
  17. I have had my permit for over 8 years and have been pulled over several time and I tell them I have a HCP and they just asked where it is, and thats it, but once when I went to Alabama my tag had fallen off the back of car and I was pulled over by a State Trooper I told him I had a carry permit and I was carrying, he asked where was it, and then told me to hand it to him by holding two fingers on the butt of gun. He unloaded it (.357mag.) handed the gun back to me, wrote me a warning and handed my rounds back to me and away I went.
  18. I turned in my renewal form at the DOT office on 2-14-08 and have not seen it yet. I called them about a month ago and they said they were backlogged since Jan. I called again today because my HCP extension expires on 5-14-08 and she is going to send me another extension.
  19. I have not seen a Red superhawk but I will look for it. If a big white Freightliner blows its air horn at you it will be me.
  20. I work on airport road, but you will have a hard time seeing it because when I ride it to work I cover it up with a bike cover. You might even have a harder time seeing it because I think I got it sold, a guy came and looked at it Sat. and said he was going to buy it Mon. I know I am going to miss this bike but I like to get out and ride the back roads and this bike is made for getting out and tearing up the curves and going down the road at high speed and I think if I dont slow down on it I am going to get a fat ticket. Now that my wife has her m/c license it is not as much fun riding around at regular speeds. Plus my friends from church all ride cruisers and I am either leaving them on the curves or riding the brakes in the curves. If everything goes like I planning on, I will be getting a Kawasaki Mean Streak.

It has a little bad language in it, but it is funny. http://s201.photobucket.com/albums/aa150/Sleepercp/?action=view&current=RedStateUpdate-Video.flv
  22. Nice bike maybe we can go riding sometime. My wife just got her m/c license almost two months ago. I got her a Suzuki GZ250. My bike My wifes bike
  23. I went to the DMV to renew my permit on 2-14-08, and have not recieved mine. I called and the lady I talked to said that they were still doing the background check. I think this wait had to do with the Phil Williams story on channel 5.
