  1. It is GOC(Gun Owners Club), my mistake. I really should proofread my post. It was posted on GOC just prior to me putting it on here Friday morning.
  2. Just called it in. It should be doubled since I called in during a match from Comcast. I told them it was from TGO but then they asked for my info, so I hope TGO appears on the screen and not my name.
  3. Didn't send the money yet so I'm fixing to call in the pledge. I'm waiting for a time when there is a match for donations. You can "win" items for donations and I thought about getting one to auction so we could raise more money. Since it's y'alls money I thought I shouldn't without your approval.
  4. copied this from GOC: I have instructed the handgun safety course required to apply for a Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit for nearly two years. In the process of getting certified to instruct these classes, I was provided with a DVD that was produced by the Tennessee Dept. of Safety. In this video, two attornies with the TDOS speak about laws pertaining to where a permit holder can and can not carry their firearm. According to the video, one of these places is "anywhere that SALES or SERVES alcohol". They mention specifically that this could be a market that sales alcohol "to go". So, in all the classes that I have conducted (based on this information), I have instructed my students that it is illegal to carry their handgun in businesses such as Wal-Mart. Simply because they sell beer on the premises. A recent student of mine researched this law (TCA 39-17-1305)which states, "It is an offense for a person to possess a firearm within the confines of a building open to the public where liquor, wine or other alcoholic beverages, as defined in 57-3-101(a)(1)(A), or beer, as defined in 57-6-102(1), are served for on premises consumption." The law does not mention "beer to go". I contacted the TDOS concerning this. I was informed that the video is outdated and a new one is in production. So, in my future classes, I will not mislead anyone else concerning this. Just thought I would post this in the hope that it may help someone out. I (Stuart Whitman) can be reached at (931)607-2313 or rangemasterpermits@yahoo.com. You would think that someone giving the class would be up to date on the laws.
  5. I agree!! It's not a very good zoo at all. +1
  6. My pleasure My wife is going to type up a letter to be sent to RMH along with the donation. I will be using a cashiers check for the majority of it. I'm going to make sure that they understand that this is the best group of "crazies" out there.
  7. Total $1555. This will most likely be the last time I do something like this here. Maybe someone else will do the Christmas PIF this year. Thanks again!! Also, I'm going to go ahead and send the money instead of waiting to call in a pledge Saturday night.
  8. Hornady Critical Defense 45 ACP

  10. AMEN!!
  11. +1 except it was more like 17-23
  12. Nice!! I've been wanting to get one myself.
  13. I was just going to post this info. I stopped by there today and asked.
  14. Was it really that high?! When I called to ask the price they told me like $6 a day.
  15. Got it. Thanks!! I'm certain we will hit $1500. I was hoping for $500 when I first asked about doing this. Way to go guys!! :woohoo:
  16. I called my step-dad last night to confirm this. It was a muzzleloader only club and at the time they were prosecuting any others caught there. Again this would have been in the early 90's so I have no idea what it's used for now. Hoselton's is probably 5+ miles away from this range. You can't confuse the two, there is a gun shop at Hoselton's range.
  17. We'll let you slide:shhh: Sunday will be fine if you're using Paypal. I was mainly setting the deadline for the ones sending checks.
  18. The pistol range is open.
  19. I used to shoot there many years ago, like in the late 80's or early 90's. I'm pretty sure that a club owns/runs it and it's for members only. I'm thinking it was like a black powder club or something similar. Edit: Don't hold me to this. I'm going off what I remember my step-dad telling me when we quit going there 15+ years ago.
  20. Awesome! I can't even imagine what those guys had to go through. At least they didn't have to put up with the liberal media like our soldiers have had to do for the last 40 years. When they came home they were regarded as heros not spit at and ridiculed.
  21. Whatever happened with this
  22. Makes since
  23. I thought the 36 was the smallest. I know it's a single stack.
