  1. While you’re at McKay’s may as well run up to the next exit and visit Royal Range.
  2. Not retired but spend some of my free time restoring vintage Geiger counters. https://youtube.com/@GeigerCounterVirtualMuseum I also work on old radios.
  3. All depends. Could you post some close ups?
  4. Looks like a Finnish stock.
  5. Haha, swamp harpoon. Love it!
  6. True on the decocker . Test by putting a pencil (eraser first) down the barrel and point in the air and pull trigger. If pencil goes flying then you know not to use the decocker. Make sure it’s unloaded first, lol.
  7. Is this the M1870/87/15 ? I have one of these that was deactivated by welding but he bolt to the receiver. I Drimmled the weld so I could work the action. Was going to use it for blanks. Maybe we could meet up sometime and compare and see if we can figure it out.
  8. I need to go to that show.
  9. Already stated by Moped but I’ll second the Taurus TX 22. When I first got one and took it to the range with a few of my friends they were making fun of it before they shot it. Now they all own one.
  10. Good thing I wasn’t over there while you were laying them all out, there would have been drool spots all over them.
  11. Why dreaded? I haven’t done a whole lot of research on them but was thinking about looking for one.
  12. Nice and preserved!
  13. I have one. Kinda unique how the hammer assembly is removed like a Tokarev
  14. Did this about 5 years ago
  15. I used Vans cold blue
  16. I’ve bought a nice example of each of these off our trader in the last couple of years. I also bought one that looked like Jay’s years ago from Centerfire . Stripped and blued it. Looks beautiful now. Will dig it out and get a picture later.
  17. What did they use on the stock?
  18. Wow, looks great! They did a great job. I bet their proud of it too.
  19. My CMP 1911 got here for Christmas
  20. I could probably be available to help as well.
  21. Nice line up there. Which of those is your favorite range choice and why? Or are they all equally fun?
  22. Nothing like that in Hendersonville. Just Guns &Leather, nothing but new stuff. If you get a little further North to Gallatin there are a few more shops and pawn shops. But still even there not much.
  23. I always wanted a Córdoba
  24. My buddy got an Argentine 1909 rifle for $200. Had a lot of surface grime and rust but no pitting. Complete rifle that’s cleaning up nicely. Early Germany made to boot. One thing we enjoy about the show is going to the Indian buffet right down the road.
