  1. Would like to see some pictures please.
  2. Just got this antique beauty. Wondering if anyone here has one and if so do you load for it? It’s 11x59r. Black powder.
  3. I had a C&R back in the good old days, really miss those $29 gunsmiths specials .

    New gun

I guess it depends on what shot you’re using.

    New range toy

Don’t think I would choose it for a bug out gun. Way to heavy for that. They made it to the same weight as an original STG44. A fun plinker for sure!
  7. My wife makes chicken soup about every month. She uses a Costco rotisserie chicken that we cut from for a day or two then she boils it, removes the remaining meat and then slow cooks the carcass for about 10 hours. Makes the best broth. She always changes up what veggies added to it. I really think eating chicken soup on a regular basis has kept us from getting colds.

    New range toy

GSG STG-44 in .22lr. Picked this up the other day at Outpost for $350. I could tell it had been shot a lot as the chamber face and bolt head were very dirty. Fully disassembled and cleaned, now looks great. All the parts look good. Haven’t had a chance to take it to the range yet but will soon. I didn’t know how hard to find and expensive spare mags are. Glad it had two extra. All three are 24 rounds mags. Would like to find a 10 rounder. I’ve been kinda wanting one of these since they came out back in 2012 . Any of you have one of these?
  9. I’ll take this if still available.
  10. Bought two, nice! My only 10mm is a Smith 610 revolver. Cool gun. Someday would like to ad an older Smith auto to that. 1006 or the like.

I got a cheap one online. A GMCONN. Around $35 ,rechargeable, very bright with a blue laser.

    New Tool/Toy

Should be fine without the plate mount. As your not changing the weight of the slide. I wonder if Taurus would sell an undrilled barrel for this. I really like a red dot on this gun. Perfectly made for one. No stress on the red dot. The cheap XP Glass Eagle is preforming perfectly. It’s got all the good features for a fraction of the price. A little hard to find now that their not made anymore.

I got the same deal on the Competition at Outpost and am really enjoying this 22.
  14. I’ve always thought of it as a streamlined sports car looking pistol. They look much better with nice wood grips
  15. Aka VZ38. Bought this at the recent Murfreesboro gun show. Made from 1939 - 1945. The Germans took over Czechoslovak right before production was to begin. The Germans pressed them into service as is without any additional stamps applied. Around 40k were made, mostly in 1939. Holds 9 rounds of .380 and is double action only. Many say it one of the ugliest pistols ever made. I think it’s fascinating. Been wanting one for years. Easy to break down and clean. Just push a little release lever forward and tilt the slide up. Slide then can just be slid off the hinged barrel. No little parts to lose while cleaning, a bonus on the battlefield. Took it to the range yesterday and it was a blast to shoot. Surprisingly accurate. Just like shooting a double action revolver.
  16. You guys really have some talent. BHunted, I really like the fish net job.

    My first 5.7

Thanks to hlb14 for the Holosun 507K X2 red dot. Perfect fit.
  18. As a collector of military surplus weapons I’ve had to fabricate certain tools. Example, French rifles that have nuts and bolts with holes in them instead of slots. A good tool to have is a Dremel. Also a good set of needle files. You can make custom tools from inexpensive screwdrivers.

Yeah I’m also hoping for the “Pebble “ . Although something with an even shorter barrel may be on the anemic side. Kinda why I was glad when the threaded barrel version came out. Every little bit helps.

You got a nice assortment going there! I saw that on the PSA forum about the screw issues. How they did some damage to the plastic striker housing Still researching which RMSc red or green dot I want to get. Will probably order some of that Fiocchi 150 rnd range pack ammo from AE Ammo . Free shipping with $250 order. I hope PSA comes out with a carbine.

    My first 5.7

Been thinking for a long time it would be fun to have a pistol in 5.7x28 . So when. Palmetto State had the “blemish “ 5.7 Rock on sale for $399 I decided to jump in. I handled the Smith version but hated the grip feel and then the Ruger which was nice but went with the Rock because of the price. It also seems to have the best reviews. Got it a few days ago and love the feel of it. It came optics cut for a RMSc red dot and extended threaded barrel. Now to find some affordable ammunition. Lol. Any of you have something in 5.7? What’s your impressions?
  22. Looks great!
  23. Not sure how long he’s been there. I’ve stopped in there twice. First time about 6 months ago. Enjoyable visits , real friendly. Small place and not fancy. Thought hard about a nice CZ-27 pistol on the wall.
  24. Stop in Nomad American Arms gunsmith shop. 800 PARK AVE, SUITE E, Murfreesboro, TN Really nice guy to talk with and in the room to the right there is usually a selection of guns and stuff on consignment.
