  1. They have poor neck tension prior to firing, basically none after firing from what I have seen online
  2. Varget is the best powder for the 75's from what I have seen, the CFE 223 is also not doing bad. H335 seems to be very inaccurate for anything over 69grs
  3. Nice, that's why you get so much of my money lol. I hope to have enough funds to get more than 8lbs by then
  4. I hope shotgun shells don't hit 60,000 PSI like the 308 can. Regardless, they have a weird design with a brass head, white polymer case body and then what looks like black delrin for the shoulder and neck. That is too many changes in the case material, at least with shotgun shells the polymer is cupped into the brass / aluminum / steel base, these have a weird locking system that molds the brass to the polymer. And I don't mean to sound like I am dismissing Oh Shoot. I agree that the loads are probably hot, one of the reviews stated that neck tension was non-existent on the ammo right out of the factory box. They use a somewhat compressed load but there is always room for some sort of issue, heck the bullet may be pulling out a bit as it chamber pushing it into the lands.
  5. I need 4-8 pounds of CFE223 or H335, or really anything that is a ball powder that is easy to meter. I hope to be able to get some in April give or take.
  6. ORSA is the closest to me being that I live in fabulous Roane County, I would like to go there and see how it is before I join. I know 1 or 2 members there but I haven't had a chance to meet up with them to go shoot. I have a new 308 that I want to stretch its legs to at least 200 yards. Right now the farthest I have is like 40 yards.
  7. They are producing what sells the best. The TAP ammo probably doesn't sell as well for the price point. People buy the crap out of the 55 gr Vmax/Zmax though. If I were a bullet / ammo manufacturer I wouldn't keep a line open making 75gr BTHP if the 55gr SP or FMJ's are selling 5-1 over them
  8. I believe it Tapatalk
  9. I spent most of last week in Nashville for work, does Old Hickory go everywhere? lol I was on it several hours going to 4-5 different stores.
  10. Look for the red on white sign, if it is a smaller young guy with very high prices your at the wrong booth
  11. Makes sense, I only like crimped brass for that reason. Tapatalk
  12. I've picked up 1,500 rounds in the past four weeks without really trying. I got 500 from Cabela's and 1,000 from Gander Mtn three weeks apart. It is still moving fast but it can be found. Both times I bought from Gander around 2pm
  13. Have any fired 223 or 308?
  14. 7 am? I didn't realize this was a 3 day show, I'm off tomorrow and could save a crap load of time by going Friday.
  15. I want to go, not sure if I will make it.
  16. Best Buy will price match Amazon, makes getting a good deal there much easier.
  17. XP support is being dropped in April, I think. MS will not provide any updates etc. The System requirements for XP and 7 are not very close, but compared to what is available in PC's even 5-6 years old Win 7 has very light requirements.    XP system reqs :Pentium 233-megahertz (MHz) processor or faster (300 MHz is recommended) At least 64 megabytes (MB) of RAM (128 MB is recommended) At least 1.5 gigabytes (GB) of available space on the hard disk   7 system reqs 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit) 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
  18. Most Malware alerts are false alarms in my experience. I work corporate IT and 99% of the issues I run into are not a real threat. Of the 1% that are most are caught and locked down by the AV we use. I use AVG at home and that is all. Use Google Chrome with AdBlock plus and the other security / privacy addons as needed and you should be ok. The biggest threat is from Flash, Java etc. Most people do not keep them up to date and visit websites of questionable reputation and wind up getting hacked. I haven't had any issues in several years by using good judgement and decent software, I re-installed Windows 7 last month since I changed out some parts on my PC. It had been running since the day of release without issue and heavy usage. At any rate, keep your software up to date and if you have Windows XP, for the love of GOD, update everything or get a new version of Windows. In April it will no longer be supported and you will be targeted.    Edited to add, Norton is a huge program that uses a lot of system resources. On a new PC it isn't an issue, on a 5 year old HP you will not be able to use the PC while it scans. If your PC is Win 7 compliant it will be must faster than Vista, the system requirements are lower and it works better on some of the old beaters I have worked on than XP or 98 did relative to the hardware.
  19. I'll be there. Looking for once fired brass and some powder and bullets. I'm fairly certain David will get all my money like usual lol Sent from my Kindle Fire
  20. A guy posted on arfcom saying it was his great aunt / uncle. They walked in on a house robbery, they shot the man twice and the woman three times.
  21. When I worked there we were not allowed to carry. Several guys carried loaded 1911 mags though, damn near every case had a 1911 clone in it.
  22. Anyone know a good source for 308Win once fired brass? The cheapest I have seen online is $79 for 500 shipped. Sent from my Kindle Fire
  23. Good deal, I would only buy 22 if they had some, I have bought two boxes of centerfire ammo this year, both were 308 when I got a new rifle.
  24. I have an Excel sheet that has the conversion in it for the Auto Disk and dippers, weigh each charge to verify. So far these are accurate but the dippers and disks are variable. http://www.joustin.com/apps/autodisk.xlsx
  25. I'll be making a trip to Chatt Friday, how is the stock on reloading gear at the Warehouse? I'm not looking for anything in particular just wanted to know if they have somewhat restocked. Mainly looking at bullets for 308/223/45ACP/444 and 9mm. I go there mainly for tools but I have some time to waste and wondered if anyone has been there lately.
