  1. From one 1911 lover to another(PICTURES,PICTURES,PICTURES)Oh did I mention pictures,my bad.
  2. I know this has probably been covered in the forum ,BUT, is it or is it not a big FOUL if you print while you are in the public arena, all I can make from the numerous laws available to read is that TN is an open and concealed carry state and it doesnt matter which you choose, but everyone makes a big issue of the print thing, some say you can be charged with brandishing some say not, does anyone know what the actual law states,I am a moron and cant make heads or tails out of these laws when I read them,I am no rocket scientist.
  3. From what I make of it,it is legal to carry in these parks and it also says that it would be illegal for local authorities to prohibit legal carry as long as you had a valid permit.DOOOH,man I dont like all this legaleaze, have to be a rocket scientist to decipher it. But dont quote me on it,I am no legal expert, this is true for sure.
  4. I have a Weaver 2X7 on my 10/22 in matte silver, thery are a nice scope but expensive.I have owned some of Simmons and they seemed pretty decent.
  5. What he said,+1 on the 1911:)
  6. Galco Ankle glove,left leg,pant leg pulled up .
  7. I dunno kinda looked Opie Taylorish ta me.
  8. That all depends on how many beers your going to drink during the movie,HHHAAR,no really doesnt it have to be legally posted with the proper signage and a big cross thru the gun.I dunno good question.
  9. My wife and I have ran down this road, she has fired almost every one of my handguns from 22-45,recently we started her shooting more with my kimber in .40,she didnt like the heaviness as she put it,we purchased a Charter Arms Pink Lady and she actually likes it,she wears a shooting glove on her right hand when we go to the range, but alternates bare hand also. She said she likes the charter better than my kimber, and she hits the target too.
  10. Agreed, must have at least one of everything you know. :woohoo:Maybe even two if were lucky.
  11. Howdy to the new guy from Lakeland.
  12. YA,that would be my guess too,My Kimber Ultra they recommend changing the guide springs as a set after so many rounds. At the tune of 45 bucks a set.
  13. WARNING,WARNING WILL SMITH,according to that article we all have weapons of mass destruction in our homes, more than 1 handgun and a rifle or two, where do they get off calling firearms weapons of mass destruction. The last time anyone checked it was only governments and worse that had these weapons, you know the ones that can kill thousands at a time not just a few.
  14. Well I did it,I picked up a Taurus Millenium Pro in 40 S&W,now to holster it and shoot it,18.9 OZ unloaded compared to 27 OZ on my Kimber, man the mag springs are tough to get that last round in. I kept my Ultra for I could not even think of getting rid of it,Love the gun you know,it makes a heck of a night gun with the meprolite sights, and would make a large hole with the 45.
  15. I finally received it in the mail,9 days after I made the call, seems like everyone thats called it has been within that 14 day period.
  16. Have you any opinions on a Taurus millinium in .40
  17. I have a Kimber Ultra that I have been carrying around for about 2 months and I think the weight is getting to my 50 year old body,I have a Kimber Stainless Target in 40 S&W full size,I am thinking about trading this Kimber for a lighter weight semi-auto in a .40,the Kimber is in really good shape and they dont even make this model in 40 anymore, its the 1st run Kimber, not the series 2.Anyone have any suggestions,My ultra runs at 28OZ empty,I would like a quality piece and also drop about 10OZ off the weight.
  18. Aint no catfish I tell ya.
  19. What I dont understand is the large gap between people that get their permit in half of that 90 days but others like us that have waited almost the full term, kinda makes a person wonder how long after all your checks are in that they are possibly just sitting on the permits, doesn't make sense that everyone is told the same line, almost like 45 days or 90 days whats the diff. Why do we have to call, why cant they just send them when all the proper checks are in and correct.
  20. NOPE,nothing again today, gee wiz batman ya think the jokers at work here.
  21. Congrats, time to start the mailbox buzzarding.
  22. AAAH,1911 love them all.
  23. Congrats on receiving,I called last Tuesday the 7th,maybe I will get mine today, same here 77 days so far.
  24. Gamo makes a .22 caliber air shotgun/pellet rifle that fires their # 9 bird shot and also has an adapter to fire .22 pellets,I have one of these and they work great for this type of activity, the shot normally will not harm your wood or eaves, but will kill the pest at about 10-15 yards, mine will put the shot thru 1 side of a steel peach can at this range. They run about 2 bills,I know its a lot more expensive than caulk but its a heck of a lot more fun,and gets rid of the pests.
  25. I had this type experience with ordering ammo,I ordered a box of Fiochhe 200 grain Extrema in 45 ACP,what I got were 230 Grain Extrema, when I checked it out on there site they did not even list this loading.???
