  1. Well I see everyone is kinda on the same page,I have had the Kimber for about 6 months, about 450 rounds thru it now, last week I put another 100 or so downrange,It never fails to feed or extract, this slide stop that catches premature really bothers me.Alas as though the gun gods have been watching over me,I ran out to the mailbox and there in all of the glory is the crossbreed I have been waiting for that I ordered for my Taurus, could it be an omen, quite possible.
  2. hey, what would you fellas do in the event you had a high end handgun say a Kimber and you didnt feel you could rely on it 100%,but you had a non high end handgun that you could, would a person consider selling or trading the high end gun for say something in a non carry house gun.EXAMPLE(Full size .45 ACP)and call it a day.I am pondering carrying my Taurus MILL PRO PT140 and possibly turning my Kimber Ultra CDP II .45 into a full size 45 I can use at home. The Taurus as luck would have it works better for me,go figure.
  3. Simply put,recoloring the past.
  4. I have used pay pal for about a year, the only glitch I had was when trying to purchase a set of grips at Range USA,pay pal denied payment, when I called to ask why the nice girl on the phone said it was due to a firearm related purchase,so they bumped it,which in turned made me see red.
  5. Welcome from the big city of Lakeland.Enjoy your stay.
  6. Hey man, this may be a stupid question, but who makes the Cobra 380.
  7. I believe they had Shelby Farms in one of the pictures,I think there used to be a shooting range at this local.???If one of you guys that has lived in Mempho for awhile can answer this question, its also kind of funny that a person says that parks are for outdoor sports and guns shouldnt be allowed,I suppose if that outdoor sport they are talking about was football and the politicians wanted to ban football because it was dangerous that would be different.I was always under the impression that they called it shooting sports.Oh Well footballs or bullets whats the diff.I think football is dangerous, someone might run by and knock my kool-aid over.
  8. It rattles a little on my Kimber Ultra, this is normal I would say.
  9. You did the right thing by keeping cool and knowing the law yourself,It does us all a great service when a holder does the right thing,It does show the nay sayers that we are responsible, even when another entity of the law is not.Good job,and should Kroger have been posted if that is their standing,I think so.
  10. Do people not cook for them selves any more,I am sure most of them dont know what that funny looking thing in the kitchen with the 4 round things on top does,OH,I got it its to set your pizza on when it gets there.Man if the fast food industry ever colapsed it would be sheer panic.
  11. I had a Stainless Target in 40S&W pre series II,came with Meggar mags,I never not even once had any type of malfunction,I guess thats why I am a little distressed with this one.
  12. Ditto on the belt,it can make or break a good holsters ability.Need a recomendation,try the beltmans website,I have a bullhide 1 1/2 inch,they are great,and not that expensive.
  13. Most of the issues I read about is either fails to extract or fails to feed,I have not heard about not using Wilson mags until broke in,most are using them right from the get go,also most of the problems are with the 3 inch barrel models, doesnt seem like the 4 inch on up have any problems.I hope your shoot goes well.
  14. Yes sir I believe that is exactly whats happening,I removed the slide and compared where the ammo rides, and sure enough the head of the bullet slides along that nib on the slide stop.I took some crocus cloth and removed some of the tip of the bump and checked with an empty mag that it would still activate the stop. All I have to do now is get to the range to try it out.
  15. Hey anyone here own a Kimber Ultra CDP II thats had function problems well into 300 rounds or more,I bought brand new and have fed at least 350 rounds thru it and still have a return to battery problem,I am using Wilson Combat mags and clean the gun religiously after shooting. Is this normal for a brand new Kimber???
  16. They are nice grips, made by Pachmayer I believe, they don't make them for the officers frame though,I was looking for a set.
  17. What kind of holster did ya get for him?Was it moleskin.
  18. I wonder where they get their 82% from,I'm an NRA member and watch Cam And Company every night that I can and the numbers the poll shows kind of conflicts with what I hear from the NRA.I for one do not think a AWB would never now or later solve any crime, possibly a law that states every law abiding person with a clean record should have to own a weapon for self defense. And it would need to be a semi auto.We can have our own AWB-ALL WEAPONS BENEFICIAL.I agree with the moron thing
  19. I have Tritium 3 dot on my Kimber,I like them, when I open my bureau at night it looks like a set of eyes staring back.
  20. Howdy from the Lakeland area, just outside enemy lines.
  21. The best firearm is the one you can control and shoot best with,If you can control the .38 go for it,in our class you had to qualify at the 15 yard range also so the one you can hit the best with is the one I would use.
  22. I also tried this,hurt the rubies.
  23. Doesnt it feel different when you get to finally see that all elusive piece of plastic that says I am legal. You ask your wife-PSSST-can you see anything, and you suddenly realize, why am I so paranoid.
  24. Thats definitely pretty special, how do they do all that metal work, wonder how much of that is done by hand, custom work ya know.
  25. Am running IE 8 and it has done it sporadically also.
